Thank you and be safe!

Thank YOU Hyacinth! Great.
It was a good deal. An identical one with a different stamp they are asking much more for!
The fabric does make it easier for cards to slide, you are right and it is extra elegance IMO but did not know if authentic. , all my old leather wallets (not Coach) all - leather individual envelope slots.
Needed new wallet, so far bought three, passed on a Sheridan that was really nice for wonderful price. (might have been fake) .
Will keep in mind the fancier leathers are faked too.

"Good example - Coach couldn't even be bothered to send the Costa Rica plant the new serial number stamp when they started using 2 numbers for the year code in 2004. There are hundreds of CR plant bags made in 2004 with 1994 year codes."
Also that is some knowledge !

Any time you're not sure about older wallets, ask, especially if you think something might be fake. The Korean "Sheridans" especially could be well-faked and often even came with several pieces of phony paperwork supposedly from Coach's Korean "partner" and they can fool someone not familiar with the genuine ones.

And NEVER buy a Coach-branded wallet with those "single-slice" credit card slots like LV uses - every single one of them is fake. Coach has always used individual pockets for credit cards, never slits.

Here's an example of a Korean fake "Sheridan" wallet that's a textbook example of what NOT to buy, click on the thumbnail:

Here are 2 examples - the creed and serial number fonts are fine, but something's missing. Coach would be closing that plant before the end of 2004 anyway and apparently didn't feel like spending any more money on it, not even for a new serial stamp. I think most if not all of them ended up at the outlets.

You always have to remember that Coach can and does make mistakes - that's why even things that seem at first glance to be red flags may just be examples of human carelessness. Or as we've seen lately in Coach's case, pure stupidity.

Figured that much, it's cheap and have always hated it.

I'll be darned - the Costa Rican bags are pretty nice to end up in an outlet, I especially like those bridle trimmed satchels. One small glove tanned red bag that I ruined washing unfortunately had some of the finest grained leather I have seen so far!
Will run any Sheridan wallet by you, would love a two toned one.. I have a Gramercy on order, not pristine so we will see!

I especially like the manufacturers card inside the wallet:
"COACH
LEATHER WARE
Qualty Contol Marking of Industrial Product"

I think the slots that LV uses look cheap and it surprises me that a premium designer would do that.
