Is this bag a department store exclusive or something in the DIY category? Very bad creed photo. The reason I was thinking possible department store exclusive is one of the hang tags has 'Fifth Avenue'......but then again, the pins and the 'C' patch on the back makes it look like it was a DIY project......

The creed is unreadable, but it looks as if it might be vintage. It could be a craft project. I'm wondering if it was one of those vintage embellished bags that was sold at auction a few years ago? I don't think is actually new without tags. It looks like it could be a convertible clutch from the 1980s. I can't say for sure that it is authentic but I don't see anything that would lead me to believe it isn't.

That's what I was thinking, that the bit of creed you can see plus the seam showing inside of the bag looks like a vintage bag. I never thought about it being one of the vintage embellished ones they auctioned off.

Thank you whatev!

Just another example of why I would never buy from seller linda*s***stuff, who's also been discussed enough here at tPF to have her very own thread in our Ebay Forum with 33 pages of posts - no readable serial number photo, no photos of any of the non-standard details like the hangtag which definitely isn't the standard Coach tag and assuming it's genuine might actually give a friggin' clue as to the origins of the bag and the embellishments, or of something called a "magnetic popper" in the description under "closure" - is that supposed to mean the turnlock and how the h*ll is a turnlock "magnetic"? - and no decent pics of any other details.

Yea, I noticed that 'magnetic popper' crap. I wasn't even looking for bags when I found this auction, a different search made it pop up and when I saw it I got curious.

View attachment 3789972 View attachment 3789969 Is this where I need to have my Coach Hampton Lindsay Vintage Satchel (12475) authenticated in order to post a link to where is it listed on an online store? Thank you for your help.

If you're selling it and you'll be posting the link in the new "Your Auction Listings" thread once it's authenticated, we need to know that. In that case we probably don't need the info on where you bought it. But If you're buying it or recently bought it, we need that link to where you bought it before we authenticate.

I'm assuming you want to list it in the new thread from how your question is worded - it's genuine, Coach's official name might be Lindsay Vintage Leather Shopper, at least that's what's in my files.

I'm sorry about the confusion about mentioning where is was purchased, I was confused and thought one of your replies about a seller related to my post...new to this thread, so I'm learning. I am selling this bag and thought I had to have it authenticated before I posted the link to where it's listed online. Thank you

Yes, I would like to list this handbag in the "Your Auctions Listings" thread after it's authenticated. Thank you!

I'm not sure if every listing posted in that thread has to be authenticated before posting - a regular tPF member and poster who's had something authenticated once or who knows beyond any doubt that s/he bought it directly from Coach or one of Coach's retail partners can probably get by without asking for an authentication. There are still some details that are still being worked out or that haven't been clarified about that new feature so we're still a bit unsure. If every listing in that thread had to be authenticated it would put a strain on some of the brand authentication forums that might only have 1 or 2 authenticators available.

Hello, I purchased this bag from Goodwill? Is it possible to have it authenticated and ID?
