Is this bag a department store exclusive or something in the DIY category? Very bad creed photo. The reason I was thinking possible department store exclusive is one of the hang tags has 'Fifth Avenue' on it......but then again, the pins and the 'C' patch on the back makes it look like it was a DIY project......

The creed is unreadable, but it looks as if it might be vintage. It could be a craft project. I'm wondering if it was one of those vintage embellished bags that was sold at auction a few years ago? I don't think is actually new without tags. It looks like it could be a convertible clutch from the 1980s. I can't say for sure that it is authentic but I don't see anything that would lead me to believe it isn't.

Not an authenticator, but this does look like one of the bags possibly from the Paddle8 auction. Here's the link to the vintage thread where those were discussed a while back:

Thanks for the link. That's what I was thinking. I can see a similar bag there but it is described as a dinky, while the one on ebay looks like a convertible clutch. I guess the auction descriptions weren't very accurate! I wonder how much it sold for.

Thanks! After whateve reminded me about the embellished vintage I went back and looked at the ones on Paddle8. I somehow even remembered my account name and password from back then.......you had to have an account just to look at the bags. :hrmm: Plus, I did a bit of other searching.. I didn't come up with the exact bag, but I did see the same 'C' patch and found smaller skull stuff of the same design as the patch on the front of the bag. I was just curious as to whether this was really a Coach embellished bag, or a diy made to look like one they had embellished.

I don't think there's a plant code G?

I've seen at least one possibly genuine D8G- prefix, but the fonts used in both the creed and especially the serial number are different from the one you're asking about and resemble the "floater" stamps from the H and M plants. See the pictures below of what I believe are genuine G plant codes from 1998.

I'm 90 percent sure the one you're asking about is fake but I'd really like to see the turnlock plate on the back of the flap. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Good day everyone!
I tried to search through the listing and it doesn't look like this has been authenticated before:
Item: F57786 NEW COACH BLACK MULTIFUNCTION CROSSGRAIN LEATHER DIAPER BABY BAG $495
Listing number:263123922344
Seller: lilysshop
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/F57786-N...AIN-LEATHER-DIAPER-BABY-BAG-495-/263123922344

Item: New Coach F87587 Double Zip Phone Wallet Pebble Leather Wristlet NWT $175
Listing Number: 263124932656
Seller: lilysshop
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Coac...175/263124932656?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144

Thanks in advance!
I've been away for a few days and I'm catching up so I apologize if I'm answering questions that have already been answered.

lilysshop 's listings have all (or nearly all) stolen pictures, stock images found on company websites or google images. Use of stolen images is a violation of intellectual property law (and ebay policy) because it infringes on the rights holders' property.

And because lilysshop doesn't show her own pictures of the items she sells, there's no way to authenticate and no way to know whether she shows authentic but sells fakes.

Can anyone authentic please? I'm a seller on eBay and this listing was removed because it seems to be counterfeit. Thanks

Depending on how the Ebay takedown notice was worded, you might have to get it professionally authenticated before being allowed to relist it. I doubt if our authentication here would be accepted by Ebay, but you could try contacting them. I'd recommend Authenticate4U for Coach products. Wait for BeenBurned to advise, she's the go-to person here in the Coach forum for Ebay problems and takedowns.

The bag is a genuine Coach Poppy Glam Tote, one of many varieties made by Coach - there were a LOT of different styles using that same generic name.

The letter M after the serial number indicates it was made for a specific location or retailer, but we don't have access to the master list of those destination codes. What I've found points to either Macy's or Coach Japan or possibly both since the photos of that style in my files were copied from the Coach Japan site, and other versions of that style that have been listed for sale indicate some were bought at Macy's. The details of the creed and serial number exactly match other photos I have of serial and creed stamps from that plant number 20 located in China during that time period 2011 thru 2012.

I don't see ANY problems with the bag in your photos that would make me think it might be counterfeit. ( I don't know if you made the same mistake in your listing, but your Dropbox photo set title has one extra digit in the serial number you listed. If you did that in your Ebay listing too that might have red-flagged the listing - we HAVE seen Ebay remove genuine items because of seller listing mistakes or typos before. The actual serial number is E1220-18711M, which is valid for that style).

Great! This is 1 of 3 that was deleted. When I called ebay, they told me their verification teams were NEVER wrong. I was worried, I'd been selling fake bags. I had a photo of the creed so, I don't think it was a listing error. I would like to know what I'm doing wrong. I might have to try other ways to sell, if they keep removing my listings. Thanks for all the info. Very Much appreciated!

It is untrue that their verification teams are never wrong! We've seen other cases where authentic items were removed. Maybe there was something wrong with one or both of the other two. Sometimes they will remove all brand listings of a seller if one is fake. Don't try to relist removed items without getting ebay's approval.
@Tw2802
I've been away and am just catching up so I apologize for the delayed reply.

Sometimes when ebay removes a listed from a seller's account, it's because there might be other "questionable" items.

You say they removed 3 listings. Did there happen to be a bag with a serial number of K3H 7584? If that was one of the 3 listings, it was definitely fake and correctly removed.

I'd appreciate your posting pictures of the other listings that were removed as well as what the takedown notice stated as the reason.

ETA: This was the first post you made here, which I went back and found. I'm betting that this one was removed and ebay decided to play it safe by removing others, if indeed both others were authentic.

Is that bag listed somewhere online? I'd like to see a link to the listing (and seller ID) as required by post #1 of this thread.

Do you know the name and original retail price of this bag? Thank you

View attachment 3790337 I just noticed that the photo of the creed for the signature satchel with the orange accents did not post with the bag picture, so I will try again here. Thank you

Are you asking for an authentication for the ,Auction Listings thread, or just an identification? Authentications require the information specified in post number One of this thread - where and when purchased, and a URL of the listing if available. Aa I mentioned in the other post, if something was bought by you directly from Coach or one of their partners, no further authentication is probably needed for active tPF members. .

The bag is a genuine Heritage Stripe XL Satchel. I don't have pricing information.

I agree it is probably fake. I'd like to see a photo of the handle from the top.

I got it at a thrift store... I was on the fence, but the bag was only a few dollars.
