Thank you and be safe!

I got it at a thrift store... I was on the fence, but the bag was only a few dollars.
It's definitely fake. These extra pictures show problems both with the turnlock and the handle. Make sure you don't donate it or sell it without removing or obliterating the creed. The thrift store should take it back and give you a refund since it is illegal to sell counterfeits. However, the strap itself if probably worth more than a few dollars if you can use it.

Thanks! Could you tell me what tipped you off? I don't own a station bag so I wasn't completely sure.

Coach never used turnlocks that have indentations on the back of the female part where the prongs are folded over, except on a few briefcases (and those are a different shape.) So we always check the backs of turnlocks. That is something you can do when you shop vintage Coach, not just station bags. For vintage or classic styles that have a top handle like the station bag, the handle should be tapered. Counterfeiters often ignore this detail. When it is tapered, the folded over edging will meet at the parts of the handle near the metal attachment and get further apart in the center of the handle. You can see what I mean in this picture.

It's authentic.

(Note that it's unnecessary to waste your time showing the zipper brand. It has nothing to do with authenticity. Not all Coach items have YKK but most fakes do (genuine and fake YKK) because counterfeiters read the inaccurate guides telling them they have to use zippers that say "YKK.")

I've been away for a few days and I'm catching up so I apologize if I'm answering questions that have already been answered.

lilysshop 's listings have all (or nearly all) stolen pictures, stock images found on company websites or google images. Use of stolen images is a violation of intellectual property law (and ebay policy) because it infringes on the rights holders' property.

And because lilysshop doesn't show her own pictures of the items she sells, there's no way to authenticate and no way to know whether she shows authentic but sells fakes.

Thanks for that BeenBurned. I'm glad I asked first. Guess I will have to keep looking then...

Thank you again!

Please remember to include vintage or classic bags' measurements in the future.

If it's between 11 and 12 inches long it's a genuine City Bag, style 9790 from the early 1990s.

Thank you so much! I'm so sorry I didn't include the measurements. It was stupid of me I was looking at another post I did and copied it right off. Now I need to go and find a measuring tape!

EDit: Just measured and I get it to 28,5 cm which is about 11,4 inches! I pressed a hard ruler against the bottom...
