Stumbled upon this listing, would love to buy, but waiting on better creed photo from seller:

Looks good to me but I'm not very familiar with these bags and creed is hard to see.

It's a genuine Sheridan Glenwood from 1994.
The item number is under the top (pictures and seller info) to the right of the item specifics and shipping information:

That's because they're two slightly different types of leather. Coach was using an "individually burnished" type with an added step to give it a natural-looking patina for some styles and colors during that time (roughly 2002-2005) and one style number might have had some burnished types and colors and some in the "natural cowhide" kind. I'm not sure but the leathers from bags with those particular creeds from those style lines will usually be thinner and softer than the classic "glove-tanned" cowhide.

Thanks, very interesting. So, neither the "burnished", nor the "natural cowhide" are the thick ones? I live in NY, my bags are on the subway with me all the time, they are getting kicked, pushed, squeezed, scratched by strollers, bikes, other bags and what not daily, and over the years I realized that the only ones that can stand up to that are the vintage unlined Coach, where all the abuse to the leather just blends in.

No, they're not as bulletproof as the original leathers. I liked the softness of the thinner leathers but it did seem as if they would scratch more easily if they were subjected to the tender mercies of the public transportation system. Luckily I had my own set of wheels and didn't have to worry about it, public transportation where we live is almost non-existant.

Hello. First post. Hoping for some help with a wallet I picked up through Canadian Kijiji site (like Craigslist). Thought it looked good on first sight but am concerned about embossing under script. Thanks, in advance, for any insight you can provide.wallet1.jpg wallet2.jpg wallet3.jpg

I'm not familiar with anything that looks exactly like that. But TBH, I'm not comfortable and wouldn't recommend buying for the following reasons. (Other opinions are welcome and if someone has the same style and knows a style number, please speak up!)

1. I've never seen an Ashley wallet (with the script logo) with the 1941 embossed marking.
2. The squared edges are "unusual"
3. The lack of any pleats is "unusual"
