You're right, forgot there was a word Rivet (typical senior fog, use whatever word comes to mind and hope no one notices, at least I do). I did not think they belonged either on that sleek style IMHO
But thanx about info on the other styles using them (or not).
And if they have cut that much of the strap off, whew boy.
It's a shame, lovely bag.

Ray Kay, we're really not ignoring you, but if no one here is familiar with the style or has a photo set of the details in the genuine version, it's very hard to authenticate.

Thanks! I don't know why the pictures are also showing up as Xs, even for me! Not sure what to do. I always seem to have such problems getting pictures to show up here.


Mine doesn't have the bow but otherwise it looks a lot like that, but I think more rectangular. It has the plastic made in China strip inside, no outlet spot.

I think it's okay and just a different style.

(And for the record, I'm still seeing X for your pictures.)

I agree, the white one's definitely fake, the other two are ok. The number is even on the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers list posted at Ebay. Point the seller right to this URL if s/he doesn't believe you:

Under "Always fake" -
"0444-317, 0444-316 AND 0444-315 and possibly others beginning with 0444 - some "classic" fakes are showing up with these numbers and have a number of mistakes in the creed stamps and on the bags themselves. Assume they're all fake.

Any 'classic' leather bags with the # 0444-31(X) and heavy horizontal lines both above and below the numbers is fake.

0212-578 and 1212-578 with and without the same fake "Overstamping" lines have also recently shown up"

I apologize. I did intend to come back to your post to comment.

Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable authenticating that bag because as has been posted in several threads throughout the Coach subforum, some of the newer bags are scarily well faked. (In particular, I've commented on some very close Swaggers and Boroughs but the fakers are getting good at their illegal and cheating activities all around.)

Add to that the fact that Coach itself has been making changes since 2014, first removing serial numbers from creeds and putting them on a well-hidden label buried somewhere in bags. Then they brought out the 1941 collection (of which your bag is one) and put non-serial serial numbers on the creeds. Then they brought serial numbers back, re-adding them to styles that previously had them on an obscure tag.......

The BS goes on.

Bottom line is that the bags are difficult to authenticate and although I don't see any obvious problems with the bag you've asked about and I think it's okay, without spending way more time than I have, I don't feel comfortable giving a total thumbs-up. (This is NOT to say I think it's fake; I just can't be sure.)
