This explains it! This is from DETROITVAULT 's ME page:
Detroit Vault is a Wholesale Distributor of Vintage and Designer Purses, Wallets, Belts, and Shoes located in the heart of Detroit, MI. We hand pick and present to you one-of-a-kind and hard to find items for a fraction of the retail cost!

From my Magic Translator Ring:
"We scrounge thrift, charity and resale shops and don't care what we buy as long as it's cheap. Authentication? Too expensive. Who cares if it's fake as long as the price is right?"

Hi authenticators! I picked up a few things from Goodwill and I would love to know if they're authentic before I pull any tags off them.

Top - genuine Tattersall purse, I don't know the name, maybe a Top Handle Pouch., Made in 2007

Third - genuine backpack from the 2004 Denim Stripe line, don't know the exact name.

I don't recognise the polka dot wallet, wait for someone who might.

Wow, this is weird! I was able to see the pictures in my email notification and then when I quoted, the pictures showed. Yet when I read the page, there aren't any pictures!

Anyway, if your item has a bow on the front (not shown in your pics), the wristlet/wallet is authentic but I don't know a style number or name.

Here's a Tradesy listing for the same style item:

Thanks! I don't know why the pictures are also showing up as Xs, even for me! Not sure what to do. I always seem to have such problems getting pictures to show up here.

Mine doesn't have the bow but otherwise it looks a lot like that, but I think more rectangular. It has the plastic made in China strip inside, no outlet spot.

Hi everyone,
Have not been around much because everything is getting too pricey and I managed to finish rehabbing my black OVERPRICED Gramercy satchel (somewhat successful considering I soaked it in Tide and the old Spic-n-span)
But did see this and was mesmerized by color and size.
But can't figure it out. Did elegant Italian Madisons have grommets on the straps? Because if they did, I QUIT!
Has strap possibly been shortened or is this one fake?
Anyway love the color

First a definition clarification - grommets usually are roundish circular thingies with an opening in the center and are used to reinforce the holes in the strap that the buckle's metal tongue(?) goes through. The Regis Bag in that listing has rivets, which are 2 solid round pieces of metal that are squeezed or pounded together to fasten 2 sections of something together. For instance RMS Titanic had rivets holding the metal plates together, grommets with holes in the middle would have been pretty useless.

And NO, that style did NOT come from the factory with rivets! (or grommets either). Whoever shortened the strap apparently added the rivets. As far as I can remember, Coach never used rivets on the straps of vintage bags EXCEPT FOR SOME DAKOTAS AND SHERIDANS and only started using them regularly in the last 8 or 10 years AFAIK. Rivets on almost all vintage or classic leather bag styles (meaning 20 to 25 years old or older) mean the strap was modified or wasn't made by Coach at all, Coach almost always used stitching to fasten the strap ends. The bag's body is genuine but the strap has been chopped. The seller lists the strap drop (usually about half the length) as 8-10 inches when it should be 48 inches end to end or about a 20-23 inch drop.

And the seller claims "no missing parts"? Sorry, when almost half of the original strap has been cut off, I consider that a missing part.
