I'm so new to this stuff, how can you tell the purse is fake? What should I look for? I've attached the pic of the label inside the coins purse, made in China. Is that a bad thing?View attachment 3710102
No, it isn't a bad thing. The coin purse is authentic. It was made for factory stores. The purse is a very obvious fake. Coach never used a signature lining in those colors. Also, they never used signature lining when the exterior of the purse was made of signature fabric.

I really appreciate the feedback and the extra knowledge! I'm glad to hear at least one of them is authentic! I have another post on here with a couple Fendi items, I'm waiting for the results of those as well. Thanks again!!

I have recently become the owner of several "high end" bags and wallets thanks to generous donations from wealthy contributors to a well known non-profit organization that my husband works for. I would like to see if these are genuine items or if the sweet elderly ladies that gave them to me got super at some point... I have posted pics of a Coach bag and change purse (still in original white box marked with the Coach label). The bag is serial number J04U-7794, no serial number on the wallet (not sure if that is common or not?). Thanks in advance!

The purse is fake. The coin purse is probably okay. I'd like to see the label inside that says where it was made just to be sure.

I don't know what you planned to do with the items but I just want to make sure you know that you can't resell the bag even if you advertise it as fake. Counterfeit items are illegal and can't be resold.

;Dangit I think I just got a fake Winnie from ebay. It's now in my hands and it has a puffy crappy looking stamp, grooves in the back of the turnlock female piece. I didn't look close enough at the listing I guess..
Here is the link to the listing and here is my photos of all the giveaway details I didn't notice were missing:

Both are genuine, although the second one was made in the US rather than the DR like the seller says in her description.

Thanks, Hyacinth! Someone beat me to the rambler, but I put a bid on the backpack.

Return it!
Seller: flawforless

You're correct. It's fake.

Although the seller has a return policy, it would require you to pay return shipping. When a seller sells a fake, you shouldn't be out a cent. Contact the seller, tell her that the bag is fake and if she wants it back, she should send you a prepaid shipping label. If she refuses, open a SNAD dispute.

It also has an invalid month code "N", the L plant code, its font, and in fact the entire prefix is wrong if it's pretending to be from late 1996, and so is the font used in the Coach logo above the creed. The stamping is also very sloppy and barely readable
The only photo I can find in my files that matches the fonts is one for a fake with a J5L- prefix and a creed that's a perfect match for this one. All the other L plant code serials AND creed stamps are very different from your fake. Here's a picture of the fake creed and serial that matches yours.

Wow! That seller that removed the fake Nomad off of Poshmark is now selling it on EBay, but with even more pictures showing that it was obviously fake. I can't figure out how to report her.
