Oh it's totally all right Hyacinth, I didn't wait it to be authenticated, just want to sort of confirm that it's fake.

I can't actually believe that as a seller having 300 listings of Coach bags he doesn't *KNOW* that some of his listings are fakes and push the responsibility to his "authenticator", real or imagined. I'm a newbie with hardly five or so vintage Coaches and I can see that there is something not quite right in F62-9870 made in Turkey?? I did have once purchased a Coach bag from ProVintageGear. Although the bag in itself was authentic and was authenticated here, the shopping experience wasn't particular charming. He has the attitude of "I'm the lawer I'm always right etc" and I thought that ok, maybe I save my money for someone else next time. Well it seems the lawfullest is not always so lawful.

Sorry about my gossip. It's obviously just my side of the story so please take it with a grain of salt.

I don't think it's a fake creed. Coach DID make bags in Turkey during the time period indicated in the serial number codes, and several other creeds from the Turkey plant with 1996 date codes that match the details of this one exactly are in my photo files and appear genuine. I'm not sure what you're seeing in the serial number that you feel isn't right.

Again, that's NOT a recommendation of that seller ProVintageGear

I did search on this forum and couldn't find any info. I hope they are not duplicate. Thank you!

The first one is genuine.

The second is a Saddle Bag, not a Berkeley.and has 5 years to go before it's considered "vintage"

THE THIRD ONE IS FAKE AND HAS AN INVALID SERIAL NUMBER AND CREED.

The fourth one is a genuine Legacy Flap but has a known problem in the serial number found on many Coaches made in Costa Rica. It was actually made in 2004, not 1994 like the serial number seems to indicate.

I very much appreciate it!!

Good afternoon experts! I'm back wit the age old question of 'real or fake'? Bag is in my possession purchased from GW. I can't find much info using the style # so any info you can give (if it's real) would be appreciated.

Approximate measurements are 9.5" H x 13" L x 4"D with a 9" strap drop.

As always, thank you ladies for you expertise!

It looks good.

Note that it's not necessary to post the pictures if they're in the listing. There are cases where you might have to obtain additional pictures that aren't in the listing so they'd need to be uploaded but otherwise, save yourself the extra work!

Other opinions are welcome, but that seller has been discussed within the last few days because of maybe half a dozen recently-listed fake Coaches. Seller claims to have had the bags authenticated but apparently his "authenticator" is NOT qualified to tell a real Coach from a fake even when something as simple as Googling a serial number would have shown that several of his listings were fake because of known and confirmed always-fake serial numbers. There's NO excuse for any qualified authenticator to neglect such a simple and easy search. The seller has also posted information in his listings that he says was supplied by his "experts" and which has been proven incorrect.

For that reason I personally will not comment on authenticity of Coach items from ProVintageGear since doing so would feel too much like a recommendation and that's something I'm NOT prepared to give to that seller until and unless he changes whatever authentication procedures he's using and finds actual Coach experts to look over his Coach products. Just because someone claims to be an authenticator doesn't make them qualified to judge authenticity especially with brands like Coach (where very small details that can only be spotted by someone who has studied and assembled files and photos of the brand's details over many years) are just as important as recognised fake serial numbers that are easily found with a simple internet search. Even if the seller is doing his best to be honest, there seems to be a serious problem with where and from whom he's getting his information, and there is no apparent reason or justification for that lack of due diligence. Not only are some buyers spending money on counterfeits they were assured were genuine, but US Federal laws are also being broken. Selling counterfeit merchandise is a violation of federal and international trademark and copyright protection regulations.

Sorry I can't help. A quick look through this thread and the last few days' posts will help explain my concern. Again, this is my PERSONAL opinion, other authenticators can comment or not as they choose. See post number 1 in this thread for additional information.

I feel as Hyacinth does about helping promote a seller who doesn't do his own due diligence in verifying that his items are authentic and legal to list and sell.I won't do it.

The interesting and ironic thing is that the owner of ProVintageGear opened a TPF account here and came to righteously defend himself and his reputation when he was first caught with a fake bag. (I hardly doubt it was his first fake after seeing so many more in the last few days. But it was the first to be posted here.) Then, 2 months later, he bumped the old posts and returned again to defend himself.

If ProVintageGear really wants to prove himself to be honorable, he'll end listing listings for the confirmed fakes, verify authenticity of others that he isn't 100% sure of and will make sure that any future listings are legal BEFORE he lists them!

Until such time, I won't recommend ProVintageGear at Etsy. None of his items are so hard to find that buyers can't find them from another seller.

Would like to know if this bag is genuine:

Item: Signature Ava II
Listing No. : UNK
Seller: Fashin-rules

Trying to replace the a bag of my wife's, and want to be sure this is genuine Coach. Thanks for the help.

Note that the seller ID you've posted isn't the seller of the link you're asking about.
That seller is lbuddha11.
This is lbuddha11's listing you posted above: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...086826?hash=item33c7e63c6a:g:eZAAAOSw5HJXK2sA

The seller ID you posted, fashin-rules isn't valid though I did find a seller, fashion-rules.
This is fashion-rules listing for the same style:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-S...168846?hash=item1a1eef9a8e:g:RK8AAOSw4GVYFsNI

Please see the first post on page 1 of this thread for the pictures needed for authentications. Neither listing has enough of the right pictures to authenticate.

Hello Authenticators!

I missed out on the Mahogany Willis I had authenticated here last month, as it got waaayyyy too expensive. This bag is not cheap, but this color - if it's truly olive and not dark green - is something I haven't seen come up much on the 'Bay. Looks to be in decent shape, unless I'm missing something glaring? Is it authentic?

Item: Olive (?) Willis
Listing: 252902164100
Seller: storybookcorner
Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Coac...en-/252902164100?hash=item3ae224c684#viTabs_0

Thanks so much!
