Hello Authenticators!

I missed out on the Mahogany Willis I had authenticated here last month, as it got waaayyyy too expensive. This bag is not cheap, but this color - if it's truly olive and not dark green - is something I haven't seen come up much on the 'Bay. Looks to be in decent shape, unless I'm missing something glaring? Is it authentic?

Item: Olive (?) Willis

Thanks so much!
Did you notice the grooves under the prongs on the under side of the oval piece?

No way! LOL. I did not.
That was a super - speedy reply Houseof999, and just saved me from spending more money on a purse I don't actually need...

BTW, is that a purse wall on your profile picture? Of all red vintage coach bags? Be still my heart!
Haha yes, but they are soon to be located in my closet. They are on display in my toddler's room where books supposed to go. Lol!

Yes, it's fake.

Just wanted to drop in and say I have an olive Willis and it's so gorgeous and a true olive! Good luck in your search!

Both are authentic.

Thanks!

Keep in mind that when other details on a bag seem okay, there's a possibility that the hardware might have been replaced. So grooves on the back of the female turnlock hardware aren't necessarily indicative of a bag being fake.

However, AND PLEASE WAIT FOR HYACINTH AND WHATEVE TO CONFIRM, I believe that the bag from storybookcorner is fake.

There seem to have been 2 different serial stamps used in April, 1994, neither of which does storybookcorner's creed text or font match.

I love seeing your comparison photos! Thank you for posting these. I like to review when in doubt. I also thought the 9s looked too round. I forget which recent post it was pointed out in. I'm definitely getting better at steering clear from buying fakes!
