Reactions: Lake Effect
Sorry, you should have kept the Ten in your pocket. There's NOTHING right about that bag, from the peeling VINYL - NOT leather - on the strap to the pattern placement to the fake hardware to the fake serial number. When have you ever seen the top layer of real leather just peel off like that?

Thanks for the response
I'm not well versed on coach
But oh well was just 10$

Hello! I just signed up with this forum. I recently bought a bag and didn't even think of authenticating. Anyway could anyone tell me if this is authentic?

I'm sorry, it is fake. You should open a return, not as described. The prefix J6D is seen on a lot of fakes. The serial number has the wrong font. In "No." the "o" is too big, and the underline is too long. The year code, 6, indicates a production date of 1996, which is three years too early for a style that wasn't released until Fall 1999.

whateve, thank you for the response. When I was reading the post on fake serial numbers and I did read about "o" and got concerned. Still I wish it was not a fake. Thanks again for the information! Next time when I see something I will first post here to see if it's authentic or not.

@whateve Thanks. Yes it was a find! $25:panic: I think I already mentioned on the rehab or chat thread that I found 3 great bags at a Florida Goodwill when I went to visit my mother in February. That emoti pretty much says it all when I walked out of the store. So let this post be an inspiration to anyone reading this that may be thinking, Will I ever find a great bag cheap? Granted, it is not a Pony Express or Musette, but it a well kept British Tan with a few small stains and storage squash. You just never know what bargain you will find when you search online or walk in thrift shop. It didn't have a hand tag, but frankly I don't miss it. I borrowed a hang tag from another Brit for the full effect. Since I have been using it regularly for work (this style is a great working breed for me) it just ended up getting in the way with this style and I took it off.
