As long as the serial number in the bag you get matches the number in the photo, it's OK. Early 1990s.

Did I get burned? I know Coach used many different kinds of zippers, but could you look at the differences between these two bags and decide if anything fishy is going on? Also, I thought that if the "Coach" on the creed was raised, the format was xxx-xxxx. Also, the O-ring on the zipper is larger than on my other duffle sacs.

Am I just being paranoid?

A question for the authenticators, at your convenience. I love the Sling bag and I love navy blue. Okay this is not in my budget, but just in case another comes along on the the cheap: the lining is much lighter, like the dye did not go through. The only navy bag I have is lined. But my black, brown, red, tan bags, all show an equal amount of dye on the suede side as the outer smooth leather side
???

I think that is just the flash making it look white. The suede inside should be close to the same color as the exterior. It looks authentic to me.

It looks fine. The rivets are installed a little low, but the backs are exactly like they should be. What year is the tan one from? The stitching on the zipper pull looks a little wonky.

I don't know where you heard the if "Coach" on the creed was raised, it means anything. Coach used several different stamps at the same time. They also used different sizes of o-rings, depending on the supplier.

The creed on the tan bag looks fine. It was made a few years later, and in a different plant, which could account for the differences.
Do you have feedback regarding the zipper? The rest of my bags have the ykk zippers, except for my Made in NYCs which have either ykk or Talon
The brand of zipper doesn't matter. Coach used many brands.

I tried committing to memory Sacs Magnifiques' creed history page. I know it wasn't comprehensive, but that's where I gleaned that information from.
