Thanks whateve!
(FYI I have those scanned catalogs too and also only found it in the winter 1990 preview. Cute style, but this one has some loose threads around the ends of the "tubular collar treatment"; made me curious if any of you experts heard that was problem with this style and that they discontinued it. If not a problem I might hold out for one in better shape.)

You might try searching other threads and forums for "loose thread" or "Carlyle"

I'd suggest either Rehab and Rescue or Vintage Coach photos and chat

Thank you, ladies! That's why I always double check when in doubt.

Besides the wrong style number, the bottom stitches are so bad, I was having a hard time believing Coach quality control would pass the bag.

Bad stitching on its own isn't enough proof. We've seen plenty of wobbly stitching from recently-opened plants, and at one time or another every plant has had to train new employees in Coach's methods, and newbies make mistakes. The seller may just be an idiot who managed to dig up the wrong style number off the internet without realizing it was on the creed patch all along. Unless mistakes are really obvious and we've seen them on other fakes, I don't recommend reporting without a creed photo.

Can someone look at this please, thanks in advance!

Item: bucket bag

Seller: prettygirlitems
Comment: none.

It looks like a genuine Bleecker Mini Duffle, I hope you understand just how small it actually is since the seller apparently didn't want to give measurements. About 8 inches high, between 5 and 6 inches wide across the bottom and 10 inches wide across the top.

Whoa that's way smaller than I thought. I need to find a medium size bucket. I think 9085 is way too big on me. I'm only 5'1".

If a seller doesn't give measurements it's always a good idea to check the exact style number from inside the bag against others with the same number listed on Ebay. Don't assume that because it looks like a certain style you're familiar with, it must be that same style. Coach has made a ton of copies and remakes of earlier styles and they don't always have the same details or measurements, especially the more recent ones.

What do you think of this one? Ideas re what it's coated with are welcome, too. Thank you! [emoji846]
P.s. Do you think it's navy? [emoji23]

Item: pre-creed Duffle Sac
Listing #: 192095603703

Comments: good pic of the stamp was impossible due to leather coating, only 1 buckle says solid brass, false strike for 1 grommet hole, any idea re the gigantic 'Navy'?? Seems like the unusual zipper/rivet details might be correct (?)

ETA: approx measurements are 15.25 x 13.5 x 9

I've never seen one without an inside pocket before. RL Bernstein posted some pics last year of a very early Duffle Sac estimated to be from around 1969 and even that one with the different strap placement that was on the oldest versions still had an inside pocket. It also had the "inset" base with the separate ring of piping around it, like every other Duffle Sac I've ever seen..And is the Coach stamp actually on the outside of the bag? I've never seen that before.

And is "solid brass" stamped on the TOP surface of the buckle? It looks like it's on the underside where it should be in at least 2 photos but on the top surface in the 7th photo. (The rivets look really strange to me too but I don't own or collect older vintage or Cashin-era bags).

Whateve and RL Bernstein need to take a look at that one. I'm not comfortable with it or with trying to guess if it's ok.

Here are a few pics of that early one:

Thanks for checking it out, Hyacinth!
Yes, the 'Coach' stamp is on the outside. Good catch on the buckle! I figured out 1 buckle is installed upside down - the little indentation for the buckle prong is on the underside instead of the top. 'Solid brass' is on the underside of the other buckle, just as you say it should be. I just missed it.
If it's at all helpful, it was this post in the Vintage Chat thread that made me take a chance on this bag - it looks a whole lot like the one I got, including the missing interior pocket: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/vintage-coach-photos-chat.857690/page-407#post-28751921

ETA: I found a couple more similar ones online but I think my laptop is about to crash...

9085 is too big for me as well. I have several of the small buckets like the one you had authenticated (style #32281 and similar styles). For me, they are big enough. The tapered shape of bucket bags makes it so that in order to use the space efficiently you have layer your items. I can fit in them everything I normally carry. Here is a picture I posted awhile ago of what I can fit: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/whats-in-your-coach-bag.86879/page-458#post-28088189
I think Helen's Legacy #9953 is a little bigger.
