Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Happy Super Bowl Day everyone! I would appreciate it if I could get an opinion on this vintage Coach Bag that I currently have in my possession please. I reviewed a recommended eBay guide before posting here. After reviewing the guide I think the bag looks fine but it's older than most I come across...it's been awhile since I had one with just the numbers in the creed. Thanks so much! Without seeing a creed or serial number, what do you believe proves it's fake? Since except for the style number, which the seller might just be guessing at, I don't see any glaring problems but I only have one photo of the genuine version and Coach's website photos sometimes aren't accurate. I'm not in favor of reporting what may or may not be a very close copy without a clear creed photo.

I'm going to try and find more photos, and I want BeenBurned or Whateve to take a look at it too. BTW, the correct style number is 11497 and here's Coach's photo of that style:

ETA - these are in Ebay's Current listings, but the creed and serial in the second one aren't readable. I don't remember how well this style was faked and more opinions are appreciated:

I don't see anything that indicates that the bag isn't authentic. In fact, there are a couple of details that fakes have and are NOT on this bag.

As Hyacinth said, we can't say it's authentic without a creed.

Thank you, ladies! That's why I always double check when in doubt.

Besides the wrong style number, the bottom stitches are so bad, I was having a hard time believing Coach quality control would pass the bag.
