Would you help me authenticate this handbag? It measures 7" × 91/2", thank you for your assistance.

It has seen better days, the rivet came out of the bottom strap. The length is 10" and height is 8", if I don't add up to the strap buckle. If I did it would be 10".
Okay. I think it is an authentic classic pouch. I had one that was in even worse shape but it still had the rivets. It will be an interesting and challenging rehab.

I've never seen that lips fob though I have seen the usual keychains this seller has. I'm not seeing anything that would make me believe that it's not authentic.

Excuse me if I add my two cents: With those dimensions, the stepped strap, and if there is a full width front slip pocket, then it is in all likelihood an early #9170 Classic Pouch. The earliest versions (made in 1971 for intro in 1972) had the small black metal COACH tags then employed which I believe were replaced (in 1972?) by the cartouche imprint, followed by issues with creeds.

Please bear in mind that in the early 1970's, COACH also released a smaller bag in the same basic style as the Classic Pouch. I've always referred to it as the Small Pouch. It measures approx 8-1/4" wide x 6-1/4" tall x 4" deep, did not have a front slip pocket, and its strap was a uniform 1" width. Interestingly, it also was available in colors with contrasting binding. I've a few examples in the shop (all of which have metal tags). So if you'd like photos of any of those for reference, just let me know.

I figured it had to be a classic pouch due to the unique strap. I'd like photos of the small pouches!

I don't recognise it. The seller says it's from the early 2000s but I was paying a lot more attention to keychains back then than I do now and it doesn't ring a bell. The only thing that's turned up so far is a leather purse charm with what could be sequins or maybe crystals, and a plain red leather charm, 94052_d1.jpg but that's all I could find. I can't tell if it's authentic Coach or not.

I think I have that same picture of those unique fobs. Didn't that come from a Japanese collection? There were lots of fobs there we didn't recognize and many I wish I could find.

I think the lips covered in crystals look kind of diseased, lol!

Thank you. I thought if it was authentic, does it look burnished as it states? To me it didn't and one more reason I passed on it.

Like I said in my reply, I personally wouldn't call it burnished, but Coach didn't ask me for my opinion. It's always possible that our Chinese friends at that plant didn't understand what the word meant.
