OK good! I was following the conversation and was worrying.
It is really scary to me that the bidding could get so high on such obvious fakes.
I've purchased REAL bags for a lot less than this!
It is RIDICULOUS that ebay lets this happen so often,
and it is a reason why some of my own friends and family are afraid to buy on ebay.
I have explained to them all about buyer protection and so on, but they are still wary.

I am very surprised at how high it went. Usually for lots this big, only resellers are interested and at $25 a piece, there isn't much margin.

DH is always asking me why I care so much about people listing fakes. I answer that as long as there are people getting away with selling fakes, people will be afraid to shop. It hurts every seller. Every person who has been burned by buying a counterfeit is going to be afraid to buy on ebay again.

I was one of those people a few years ago. I bought a large lot of fakes like that. Not those ugly sig type fakes - but a bunch of the leather ones. Too trusting and believed the seller. So I understand too well.

I had no idea! I've bought smoky bags before. I guess I never tried to return them. There was one that reeked before I opened the box. I put the unopened box outside for a week before I could get near enough to open it!

Ebay keeps changing their policies. If you filed SNAD now for odors, you would win.

I always send an ASQ asking about any stains, pen marks, odors such as cigarette smoke or other damage. If the seller doesn't answer, I don't bid. I think if the seller answers and claims there's no problems and it turns out that it DOES reek of smoke, the buyer has a valid SNAD claim.

YOOOO!!! I would normally post this in the fakes thread but
seems that this thread gets read more and we need this done quickly.
I found this listing on ebay with a TON :pullhair:of bogus bags in it
and the auction is due to end in about 4 hours!
Somebody is getting majorly ripped off as the bidding is so high already.
Let's blast ebay with report plzzzzzzzzzzz!
Auction # 121565775873
Seller: peppermintpatti68

In my opinion from just looking at the outsides, I think 8 are fake!

I am considering outbidding everyone just so I can ensure nobody gets stuck with them,
then returning them because they are fake.
What do you think?

I think you'll get an email telling you that the listing was removed.
So did *someone* get the message that peppermintpatti68 's listing with all the fakes was removed?
