Someone could be so kind as to take a look and authenticate....only able to find the all weather bags online and having trouble identifying this bucket bag!

You need to post at the Authenticate This Dooney thread in the main forum:

I don't remember anything in the Girlie Bag discussion that would have looked like that serial number.

Any serial number that's not divided correctly by dashes and where the last section is only 2 numbers is fake, like the B4-796-31 in the fake listing. The only exceptions are the all-number ones from the late 1980s where the dash between the two halves was replaced by a number. But, as always, please ask here if you're not 100 percent sure.
Thank you Hyacinth. I must be thinking of the wrong bag then. Reporting.

Item: Coach Ergo Tote (medium?) in camel (a guess after looking at the Coach Ergo threads)
Thank you very much for your time.

Genuine, but I don't know the name, some version of Ergo Leather Hobo or Ergo Legacy Leather Hobo is probably close.

Comment: I can see a coach stamp but can't read it. Also the zipper looks plastic and the inside leather looks different color than the outside leather.

I'm not at all comfortable trying to authenticate that without being able to see the entire creed and serial number. And although it does NOT prove it's fake, the long strap wasn't made by Coach. but no one should report it. The apparent color differences could just be due to shadows and lighting. And as I said in another post recently, plenty of classic and late vintage bags especially Lightweights had nylon zippers, that doesn't prove anything about authenticity on its own.

I'm looking through some old caralogs, but Court Bag-type bags usually don't have permanently sewn-down top handles, they usually can be pressed down flat for when the long strap is used. I'm liking that bag less and less, and what little is visible of the turnlock isn't helping. Still checking my catalogs though ...

ETA - I still can't find it. That's not irrefutable proof, but it's a major red flag when combined with the problems already mentioned. Do NOT buy that bag.

They're both genuine. The shoulder pad on the Station Bag was added by one of the owners.

Thank you Hyacinth! You are awesome!

Hi all!

Could you help me authenticate these two Coach Dayback eBay listings?

1)
Item: Vintage Coach Backpack
Listing number: 142161329876
Seller: starbutt02
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/142161329876?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Comments: So, I was a bit unsure about the straps (maybe the angle makes them look not the right size? And also because they're rough/fuzzy on the edges). I asked the seller for more photos, including the creed, which you can see here: http://imgur.com/a/xutmf
Unfortunately the photo of the creed isn't the best, but the serial is J4C-9960. I am also unsure about the inside edge of the flap. Let me know if these uncertainties are unfounded!

2)
Item: COACH BROWN LEATHER BACKPACK No. G5C-9960 ADJ. STRAP ZIP COMPARTMENT USA
Listing number: 152299493433
Seller: bkrbon
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/152299493433?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Comments: I was wondering why there seems to be a "DONATED" stamp on top of the creed - is this a standard stamp, if the item is authentic?

Many thanks!

Both are genuine. Usually I wouldn't be able to be completely sure about the first one without a full serial photo because we actually need to see and compare the fonts and details of the stamping itself, but luckily there's one small detail that helps authenticate it. Most of the time with older bags the inside pocket can be loosened and pulled up and away from the interior to take a clear photo. The second one is also genuine, Coach used that "donated" stamp when they donated bags to things like charity sales, auctions or non-profit organizations.
