NOT buying this, just curious if the little metal tag (pic #6) are a marker of bags of this era?

Indeed the small black metal COACH tag was employed for several years (from the late 1960s - very early 1970s) to identify their bags. Specific to the Bigmouth style shown, the earliest versions of this bag (which had a different strap) were identified using a small black metal Bonnie Cashin (in the same location behind the kisslock as the COACH one on this particu;ar listing) along with a red fabric COACH LEATHERWARE A BONNIE CASHIN DESIGN tag on the inside of the flap. Later versions (with the 2" wide guitar straps) were identified with the COACH metal tag, that in turn was replaced by the COACH cartouche imprint (sometime in the early 1970s (1972 or so)).

Other historic contributions are welcome as I may be off a bit in my year assignments.

Thanks RL, that's the kind of info I love to learn!

Yes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The creed patch stitching is a mess, the hardware especially the Carriage emblem and Coach logo have problems, there should be a serial number in a bag that size and from that time period, the "Made In China" tag is wrong, the handles or strap should never be covered with clear plastic, and style 21194 is a Legacy Archival Rambler that should look like the picture below. I hope your aunt can get her money back.

Thank you so much! And for all this extra information/ammunition, for her to try for a refund too.. I appreciate it!

Hi kind authenticators! I'm selling a couple of bags from my personal collection and since I bought them off ebay (one within the past 4 months and one about 6-7 years ago) I just wanted to double check their authenticity, though I'm pretty sure they're good to go. Maybe you can also help me on the identification of one.

First is a Zoe XL in dark brown.

Second is a men's messenger bag I bought sometime around 2009 off ebay or CL. It's navy canvas.

Thanks so much!

Item: unknown crossbody
Link: none (seller thought it was fake when I asked for creed but after emailing me the creed photo)
Creed: 027-3125
Comment: I am guessing this is also part of the Carriage Classics line? What was the name of this one? It was either 9X9 or 10X10

Hello, everyone. I'm new to the forum, but have been an avid bag collector/hoarder for years. Coach is one of my loves, and I'm just venturing out of retail and looking to add some vintages to my collection. Can anyone ID/authenticate this vintage bag made in Italy? It seems to be along the lines of a Greensboro bag from the Sheridan collection. Google has given me pics of a solid black one, and a black with tan trim, both from second-hand sales sites. I know the fastener is odd. Is it real vintage Coach?
