Someone asked about what might be the same kind of sunburst stamp several years ago but we didn't have an answer back then either. Unfortunately the photo link doesn't work any more.

BeenBurned suggested then that it might be a store stamp, like Nordstrom's does with some markdowns. Maybve some day we'll find out which one. If anyone spots any others, especially if a pic of a specific store's price tag is included, please post it here.
Thanks. I posted a picture of it in the authenticity questions thread.

Hey, if we DIDN'T want to be "pestered constantly", we wouldn't be doing this. We don't like to see people throw away their hard-earned money on fakes. And we especially want to put the scammers who are selling fakes knowingly and who just don't give a damn out of business. :noggin:

I do appreciate your expertise. And hey, this morning I alerted an Etsy seller that Coach never made bags in Korea, as her description said. She thanked me for the info.:smile1:

This bag in my possession, hoping is authentic and totally guessing it is a Chester from the early 90s, style 9901?

Three!? Lucky! This one seems in good shape, but dang, they're pricy!
They are pricy especially for the burgundy and brown shades. You should be able to find a deal on any of the other colors. A green one sold for $75 today. It sold immediately after it was listed. I got my ink blue one for a good price because it had ink stains on the lining and I got a deal on my burgundy because the edgekote was missing in parts. The only one that I paid over $100 for was the rust one, just like the one in that listing. I've seen them sell for $250.

The one in my lnk was listed before with a starting price of $175 and no one bid, so she relisted starting at $150. Now she's got 2 bids.

I bought this bag off eBay without getting it authenticated first. Seemed like it looked reasonable but now that I've received it, I'm thinking it was too good to be true. It's one of the 1417 styles. The one I had asked about was bid out from under me so I ended up buying this one.

Thoughts? The seller has a money back guarantee. Thanks!!

It's genuine. Do you SEE anything that would make you think it wasn't?
