Hmmm. Interesting.

Thank you whateve. It would be nice if bag sellers were required to post clear pics, provide measurements, etc. not gonna happen, i know.
You're welcome! I know that when a seller lists a Coach bag, a box pops up that tells them to make sure to have a picture of the "storypatch" but most inexperienced sellers ignore that. I think that ebay also sends sellers messages telling them how to improve their listings, such as including measurements and color, but I don't think that is very successful either. Sometimes I love bad sellers, though, because that is how I may get a bargain.

Have to say, now that I know even a little of what to look for, it's shocking how many fakes there are on EBay. Was just looking for Court and Station bags and the first two I clicked on had the giant "o" in No. And another had mismatched metals. Maybe I need to give it a rest for a bit.

Keep in mind that the Giant O is only a problem for serial numbers from some plants and years, not all of them. That's why it's so important to have Coaches looked at by someone who has the experience and especially the notes and photos to be able to tell the difference. Most sellers have NO idea what to look for in a fake especially when it involves esoteric details like serial numbers or even hardware colors, unless they're regular visitors to this forum.

At least with Ebay you usually have the chance to see what you're getting before you buy. It's those impulse buys at thrift shops and other brick-and-mortar places where you can get into trouble unless the seller has a money-back return policy. Never hesitate to ask here, and if you're not comfortable, or if there are no creed pics, or if the auction ends in a few minutes and there's no time to have a bag authenticated, it's better just to pass.

I don't see any problems but I don't think the pictures are a very accurate representation of the color. Love red is really more of a coral color. I don't know what the starburst imprint on the creed means.

Someone asked about what might be the same kind of sunburst stamp several years ago but we didn't have an answer back then either. Unfortunately the photo link doesn't work any more.

BeenBurned suggested then that it might be a store stamp, like Nordstrom's does with some markdowns. Maybve some day we'll find out which one. If anyone spots any others, especially if a pic of a specific store's price tag is included, please post it here.

Thanks for the pep talk, Hyacinth. I just feel bad pestering you all here constantly, but now you've asked for it!

Thanks!

I've fixed your links. I'm not sure why your URLs have the double http.

Also please include the item number so it's easier to find the listings in instances such as this.

The first 3 look good to me. Wait for others on #4.

The second one is some type of a Bleecker flap bag.

Looks like i have to go in and remove the double http manually since it inserts one automatically in the link paste box.

Thanks!

I own a few coach bags I purchased at the boutique so I know they're authentic. Now I'm interested in picking up a few vintage (post 1994) court and willis bags (or anything British tan) and after reading they're commonly faked, I feel paranoid I'm going to buy a fake despite reading up on serial numbers and the like. I went back a few pages and didn't see these posted, I would appreciate your help authenticating these. Thanks :)

Comments: seller says the item was bought new in 2006, but with the numbers in the creed wouldn't the bag have been manufactured in 1994?
