Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

The creed number should be 22762, which is why you couldn't find it. Sellers often read it wrong. Those photos of the charm bracelet were on a site that sells counterfeits. It can't be authenticated without the creed picture.

I don't see any problems but suspect that the seller copied the serial number incorrectly. You can't base authenticity on what a seller has posted in the listing.

(Incidently, the charm bracelet you found by googling is on a site that sells fakes.)

I don't see any problems with the bag but a better picture of the creed is necessary to positively authenticate it.

ETA: The style is probably 22762.

Ah... I got a picture of the creed which shows the correct style number. I've tried to attach it. You guys are impressive! Thank you so much for your help!

Here's one for authentication that I am really excited about. I was scrolling through eBay and cross referencing style numbers with Google searches (checking a Barclay tote that has since been bid quite high) and ended up on this post between Hyacinth and Salearea from several years ago discussing an unusual vintage bag. Sure enough I went back to ebay a little later and stumbled across one of those unusual bags. I went back and forth comparing description and details and i'm sure this is like the one Salearea was authenticating that started the conversation. Here is a link to the listing as well as a link to the TPF post from Sept 2010.

It's a Chauncey bag #9897 from the Carriage Classics collection from around 1992. I believe this is one of the first Coach bags that used a snap closure. On mine, there is nothing on the snap like on most Coach authentic bags. The patent information is on a sticker inside the pocket. It's an adorable bag.

The bag Hyacinth posted in the earlier tpf link is its larger cousin, the Dover bag, but Salearea's bag looks like it was a Chauncey.

And another GW find for authentication. Can't find any reference to this online but seems like an odd and fun accessory for the foodies i know.

Item: Coach leather restaurant address book
size : 5 3/8 x 3 3/8

Thank you! I know in the former post there was some back and forth about size and this one is smaller than the dimensions of the Dover bag. Thank you for the proper style name and number!

So would I, the creed matches the other Currents and Completeds styles I found using Advanced Search "Coach 05N" and "Coach 06N". No evidence of any made in 2004 though, so that code was probably only used for a China plant for about a year.

So are you battening down for the next storm? Hope your electric power and your snowblower keep working!

Ugh! Yeah, when is enough enough? Personally, I don't care about previous snowfalls and temps in history and getting into the Guinness Book of All Time Records!

We've been lucky though. We haven't lost power at all this winter yet.

Good luck! We'll send some of Chicago's extra plows if you need them. :D

Too funny-- I just searched for Coach Chauncey and found your post from 2012 in the "Show me your green bags" thread. So many pretty bags

I've never seen it but I don't see anything that indicates that it's not authentic.

Nice unique find.

You're welcome!
