Carolyn, I´m not so sure about the Cabat: It has a very low starting price, the seller is pretty new to eBay, I`d ask for clearer pics, esp. of the plate and the tag, since the leather doesn`t seem to give away anything.

fennylj, that bag is seen quite often on eBay recently, but looking at the tag, I`m pretty sure it`s a real deal.

HI
Cabat bag issue: I already requested extra pic from the seller I will post them when they arrive

That's definitely a red flag. I originally thought the bag looked good. On her feedback, there's a BV evening bag she sold that looks fake. Also she's selling a LV agenda with the same pic as one sold previously. I probably would either ask about what you've noticed or just pass on it.

boxermom, thank you so much for your comments-I have not even realised those..I actually asked her the question, whether it is the same bag she has sold previously, and she said her previous two buyers did not pay..very strange. It's so sad, as the bag on the photo looks so tempting. I'm qurious now-will ask her about the LV-let's see what she says.

I´m sorry to hear that you have to go through such a hassle, but everything bought in the European outlet in Florence or in the US in Woodbury or Cabazon is definitely auth, since the outlets are under direct control of BV.

I`ve always had good experiences with the German stores, so I`m wondering which one would provide her such a letter since all of the SAs seemed very knowledgeable to me.

so it appears she went to a store that sells designer items and not a BV store:

So I went to the shop LILO, Opernplatz 2, 60313 Frankfurt, Tel.: +4969293555, which is a BV licensed seller/store in Frankfurt

Is anyone familiar with this store? Do they specialize in BV? Can I trust their BV knowledge??

Funny enough, I`m originally from Frankfurt and am spending some time with my parents here right now!

The store is actually 100% trustable, they carry Lanvin, Prada, Miu Miu and BV and have a wonderful selection of all of these brands (the only place where I was able to drool over the wonderful BV pieces here in Frankfurt), but they may not know the outlet items as good as BV boutiques since they only carry new items designed for the retail market.

Ask the buyer if it would be too much of a hassle for her to have it authenticated at a BV boutique, preferrably Hamburg, where Janine or Julia might help her further. I would actually tell her that this is the only authentication you`d accept and if they say it`s fake you`ll reimburse her with all of the costs including shipping to and from Hamburg. I`m sure it`ll turn out to be authentic!

Thanks!! Unfortunately the buyer did not want to wait for my response and had escalated the dispute to Paypal. So now Paypal is reviewing it to see if she's eligible for a refund. :confused1:
