I sold a wallet on eBay purchased from the outlet. The buyer is now claiming it's fake because of the gold BV circle stamp behind the tag. She claims that she brought the wallet to her local BV store and the sale associate there said it's a fake too! However, she lives in Germany so the sales associate there may not know the difference between a wallet purchased at a store and an outlet. Anyhow, the buyer said she'll be able to obtain a letter from the store. I even offered a copy of my receipt to show it is 100% authentic and explained to her that the wallet was purchased at an outlet so the material may be a 'bit' different from the original ones. I'm having 2nd doubts if the outlet sells authentic merchandise because she may be able to obtain a letter from her store? oh and she claims that this board says any BV merchandise with a gold circle stamp means it's a fake. I just wanted to double check with you BV experts to see if this is indeed true. If it's true, I will need to speak to my SA about it.![]()
I´m sorry to hear that you have to go through such a hassle, but everything bought in the European outlet in Florence or in the US in Woodbury or Cabazon is definitely auth, since the outlets are under direct control of BV.
I`ve always had good experiences with the German stores, so I`m wondering which one would provide her such a letter since all of the SAs seemed very knowledgeable to me.
