shopdrop, ****** is considered to be a reputable Ebay seller of authentic BV. There are several things about the bag in the second auction you posted that make me uneasy, however.

Hmmh, I just told in my other post that I thought the Campana looked quite good. A little bit used in the interior but still authentic. Do you see any red flags?

Nymph, soory to hear you missed out on the beautiful clutch. I think the one you posted is good, too, at least from looking at the pics of the woven leather and the metal tag.

gtvicky, the link somehow doesn`t work and it doesn`t seem to find the item. Could you repost please?

C_24, the way the bottom is constructed looks sloppy to me; the typeface looks off, and the tag looks too neatly cut across the top. Also, the "edropoff" seller, one of those professional resellers, makes me a bit nervous whenever a high end item is being sold. I always wonder if it's a screen for fakes (because the actually Ebay seller wouldn't know enough about the item). But I don't own this bag and it's possible this is the way it's supposed to look?

Hi C_24. Here's the link. Hope it works now. Thanks

I know. Bummer. Have been missing out on stuff I've been watching on eBay recently. *sigh* Thanks for the auth though, C! Will try my luck again. ;)

vicky, the tote is cute but definitely fake. The authenticity tag has a sharp edge, the wrong font and the wrong number on it (at least, it tells the color code for Noce which the bag is definitely not). Sorry.

It looks good to me. You could ask for a clear pic of the stamped font and the side of the authenticity tag that has the numbers on it. Seller has some other BV's that look god--always an encouraging sign of a legitimate seller.
Thanks so much - I do appreciate it! I know a few of the other bags she has are real, just don't know BV....now to bid or not to bid:thinkin:

Baggiana, I have quite a bit of experience on eBay as a buyer and as a seller. My advice to you is to initiate a chargeback through your credit card company.

Reasons:
1. PayPal may not decide in your favor, but your credit card company always will.
2. PayPal will keep $25 to settle the case, even if they decide in your favor.
3. you don't need the stress of waiting around to see what PayPal decides.

That is just my opinion, but it's been learned the hard way.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. and I think that you may be right. This is the second failed attempt to USPS to deliver the fake, and I will have to wait until next week to give the seller a chance to pick it up. If the package is returned, I have to wait until it arrives, and photograph the box and receipt, and then wait - again- for a decision. All the while, I will be paying the cc for the charge. The seller told me and PP they would refund when returned. I would like to give her a chance, but I am beginning to wonder... especially since she has nothing else to sell, and just finished an auction for a Hermes watch - maybe fake, too- who knows. If she does not pick up the package by this weekend, I will go to my cc company. By the way, PP never mentioned the $25 charge for settling. I don't feel optimistic right now, because PP keeps telling me that the auction is only covered for $200, unless she has more in her account - and she may not. If I go through the cc company, I do not have to pay the amount until it gets resolved, and that may give PP a reason to go after the seller in a more rigorous manner. Tuesday is my deadline.
