Any possibility this Cocker can be authenticated without a pic of the tag? I know it probably can't, but wanted to check. I'll try to get one from the seller , but it looks like they may be crabby about authenticity questions. Thank you so much!

Initially the pics look good to me, the texture of the cervo, the interior, but def. to be 100% i'd ask for the heatstamp and the tag. Also ask for other experts to weigh in

Hello, I recently purchased a brown large 'Veneta' that is a dark chestnut color, and it has (excuse the poor description) embroidered squiggles all over it. I was told that it was bought from Bergdorf Goodman.

Is this authentic? (the swirls and squiggles are embroidered in the same color leather as the bag...)

Thanks so much for your help! I hope I didn't end up with a fake...

acannold, do you have a picture of the bag? That would help. Sadly, the embroidered styles were very heavily faked (you can see them on sites like ioffer and others...)

Welcome to the Purse Forum and the BV subforum, acannold!

It's hard to tell without a photo. It sounds like it could be an authentic BV design. Is it a dark chocolate brown? That's called Ebano. Is it new enough that you could find a pic of your bag online at Bergdorf's, Saks, etc? Does it have a white authenticity tag sewn inside (sometimes inside the zipped pocket)? If you can post a pic of the bag and of the heat stamp and tag, we will be able to tell you more. You can also look at the Reference Library where members post pics of their bags--you may see a bag like yours and we can go from there.

HI I am new to Bottega Veneta and just bought my first BV, a Chocolate Pyramid from the Jomashop. Everything looks ok when I compare the photos I find on the forum but I can't find the cloth tag (the one with jagged edge). Does the Pyramid have a cloth tag and where is it? In addition, do BVs come only with a small light brown envelope which contains the authenticity card, and there is a sticker with code on the dust bag. Nothing else. Kindly advise if this is normal? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the Pyramid bag, but it should have an authenticity tag. Have you looked inside any zipped pockets? Sometimes they are not very visible. I've had items come with the envelope with card inside and also the folded card telling something about the leather. Sometimes, it's just the envelope/card. Don't know why. I guess in stores with people opening them they get misplaced. I've never had a sticker on a dust bag, but is it possible Jomashop uses it for warehouse/inventory purposes?

Hi vogue, welcome to the BV sub. Jomashop does sell authentic handbags- in fact, many of our dear ladies here, such as jburgh and BookerMoose have gotten theirs the last couple of weeks.

It`s a good price and a nice bag!

Hi! I love the Knot clutch, but have never seen it in velvet. Maybe some of our members who have this style will comment. The seller is an authentic Hermes seller, so I think that's a really good recommendation for any other brands being real. She often sells BV and I would trust that this is authentic.

I am still recovering from purchasing the counterfeit BV, but my money is back in my a/c. Paypal ruled in my favor, but could only credit me $200, informing me that there was not enough in the sellers a/c, but they would try to collect for me in the future. The seller claimed damage (heard this one, before!) after the ruling, and finally, I contacted my cc company. It only took my cc company 2 days to chargeback the balance. After all this, eBay sent me a notice that the seller had been suspended. Time passed: about a week, and there was not a fee assessed by Paypal. If I ever face this again, I will go right to the cc company. There is no penalty, but Paypal reserves the right to contest the chargeback. Thank you to all who advised me during this ordeal!!! Hopefully, I will be able to return the favor!

I still want to buy a BV, preferably black. Can you please advise me on the authenticity of this one?

If all else fails, I would be ever so happy with a Large black Veneta but can only find that at full retail right now. I am in no hurry - trying to learn, and not make any more costly mistakes. TIA!!!

What a PITA for you!

What concerns me about this bag is the plastic hangtag. That's usually the sign of a fake. Seller has a lost of listings but I scanned a lot of them and she always seems to omit the identifying photos--heat stamp, authenticity tags/cards, what the interior looks like, etc. Hopefully someone knows more, but I would be worried about this bag.

I'll keep an eye out for an authentic black BV for you. It appears you prefer the more casual styles?
