btw, the authentic tag number she gave me was 181347 V7782 2202 EPEV 2007 2288 C
thanks~~

Unfortunately I don't really know enough about the Pyramid to be of much help and in particular I have no idea what color this would be - the color code is 2202 which I believe is within the "brown" range of "2000" numbers not the 6000s which are the red numbers. But then this is described as "reddish brown" so maybe it should be in the 2000s not the 6000s? Hopefully someone with more Pyramid knowledge will wade in soon...

What a PITA for you!

What concerns me about this bag is the plastic hangtag. That's usually the sign of a fake. Seller has a lost of listings but I scanned a lot of them and she always seems to omit the identifying photos--heat stamp, authenticity tags/cards, what the interior looks like, etc. Hopefully someone knows more, but I would be worried about this bag.

I'll keep an eye out for an authentic black BV for you. It appears you prefer the more casual styles?

Thanks for your assessment, boxermom. I have taken this bag out of consideration. And thank you for your generous offer! Almost every listing out there looks fake to me now. I am not familiar with what constitutes a casual style, but I am looking for something large, black, and capable of being carried on the shoulder... and something that I could close (with zipper or snap) is a plus. Used or vintage in good condition is ok, as is new. I am sure that something great will show up... maybe even a large black hobo (Veneta).

jburgh, all I know for certain is that the bag is showing the old BV logo .... there are several things about it that look promising to me, but maybe someone with more info as to vintage BV can comment?

ladies, I have a question with this pyramid
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200200063164

it was in a hurry and I already bid on it, but i haven't paid yet. do you ladies think this is authentic? do pyramid come in this color at all?
thanks so much!!

I don't know what color this is, but the bag looks real to me. The seller has a good reputation. Don't know how much this helps you, but I don't see anything "off" about this bag.

jburgh- I am pretty sure that this one is authentic...Firstly, I know that they used this same orange ring lizard in a different style small bag ( like a baguette, which my mother has in natural) that is often on ebay... Secondly, the tags look authentic..I have some vintage bags and the tags are like that....Style is BV, is the length a little longer than the typical knot clutch, because they have done longer ones..I am guessing it is approximately 10 years old...It is stunning

My concern would be the age of the bags and how that's affected the skins. They look OK to me as far as authenticity goes, but BV has not used those metal plates (inside the bag) and logo for a very long time - might be as long as 10 years? New old stock or not, skins will deteriorate over time if not properly cared for so I'd want some assurances about condition.

salma12, don't know about authenticity on the first bag but it looks super worn to me for the money. Seller of the second bag is known for selling authentic Hermes so I would suspect her BV is good, too.
