Without seeing them both next to each other IRL it would be hard to describe the difference. I have an oxblood Tano bag (Leather Uniform) from the same collection as your Shredded Pleats and its slightly more "earthy" of a red than grenadine, I suppose. If I think of it, Ill wear it to work one day soon and look at them side by side.

I have a question about the Plain Chain. I noticed that some retailers show the strap with the upper part leather but there are some that show the strap is completely woven with leather and chain. Are there two versions of the strap or did Tano decide to come out with the entire strap chain and leather? TIA!

The top of the strap is made of smooth leather top that wont get snagged on your shoulder.

Tano's stock pic shows that it has chains going all the way up. Thats the way the original sample was made, but a change was made in production. Many retailers use Tano's stock pics instead of taking their own photos.

Sorry I dont recall the name offhand but its definitely from quite a few years ago judging by the tiny exterior TANO tag and the huge interior Tano tag. The owl is not part of the bag, the girl must have added it.

They are both red LUX leather- just from different seasons.

Without actually seeing them side by side it would be different to describe the difference.

I fell in love with the Tano "The Stuff of Legends" leather shoulder bag but can't find it anywhere online. I'm guessing it's an older style. Am I out of luck?

Yes, thats a spring 2010 style. Tano only repeats a few styes form season to season, and this wasnt one of them, so its got to be HTF now! Sorry

Michelle, it appears that at NORDSTROM, the strap is all chain, unless they did their photography with original samples - cant confirn on that unless I see it IRL in a nordies store, sorry!

I picked up this Tano bag not knowing much about it, I would like to know if it's vintage, the bag name any info you may have on it.

It is marked Tano of Madrid Made In Spain.
