Well I used to use L'oreal when I was in mid 20s for Asian skin range. But after migrating to Australia I can't find the range anymore but thinking it would give me same effect if i simply use other L'oreal range. Duh! my skin got worse. And I tried many products local and international mainly produce not meant for asian skin. Asian skin tends to be less "coarse" than the western counterpart (no offence meant). Like my hubby said "delicate".
I am now full time SK II user and just a week after using it, I can feel the difference. Now I've been using it for almost a year and half. Everyone commenting about my skin. I have black under eyes problem (heritage from mom, sorry mom) and SK II is the only brand that deliver the effect. The cheapest place to get SK II will be in Changi Airport follow by strawberry.net.

Good luck in your hunt for the right skin care product.

I've recently tried a facial mask that I bought at the Japanese market called The Secret. The one I tried is Age Free but there are others for moisturizing and brightening. I could not find out online, but it is made in Korea and the company is 20blossom.com.
I really like this mask! It feels very soothing and my skin is calm afterward.

I literally JUST heard of SKII 20 minutes ago from my gf who lives in Australia.. she told me her skin glowed. I'm using HERA, from Korea, and live in Canada and I find it lovely and I don't have to use to much of it, which is surprising becuase I have very very dry skin..if you have sensitive skin, i'd give it a try too as I have tempermental skin because of my eczema and i've had no problem with it. Another product I use is the Aloe line by the Body Shop - its' fantastic and decently priced, plus a little does go a long way.

I used to have skin problem too until I started to use Mary Kay products 6years ago. I'm telling you, their skin care products are amazing and I never switched to anything else. My skin used to have acne problems and quite oily with uneven skin tone. Now even the SA at Dior counter asked me what product I'm using!

I am Asian and my skin is fairly sensitiv. I recently I started using SK-II. I love it! I saw a huge difference in the pore size and the texture of my skin the next day.

Hi ladies and gents!! :-)

Just curious. What brand do u guys use for exfoliator? And how often do u use it?
I have a dry and sensitive skin and currently use clinique products for skin care and chanel for make up..
Any recommendation?

Thank You :)

My skin is quite sensitive. It gets itchy during spring, flaky during winter and rosacea in rainy days or simply when I'm stressed. That's why I am always cautious with skin products. I stick with really simple ones to keep my skin, especially my face hydrated, including Palmer's and Vasaline. Recently, I am looking for a type of face products to help with exfoliating and/or brightening my skin. I have a fairly fair skintone. However, in cold days, it turns grey :( I also have cool - pink based undertones. Anyone please kindly recommend me a few brightening skin products for the face and body. Thanks so much!

i'm asian and my skin always fluctuates between bouts of acne and eczema - but lately my skin has been very good and clear. although skincare is a big part of it (i love using caudalie!) diet has been the biggest factor for me! when i eat regularly (i used to skip meals) and eat healthy, with just a little tinted moisturizer my skin glows and is blemish free. i heard asians have very sensitive stomachs so this may be something to keep in mind :)

Ahh that's true! Thanks for the tips. And I also notice that if I take fish oil tablets, my skin are a lot smoother and pinker. Avoid tap water. It's bad for weak stomach and sensitive skin ;)

I just came back from Hong Kong and picked up a bunch of products to try-can't wait to see how they work.

-Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil (I was using Fancl before, but this is 1/3 the price)
-Bifesta eye makeup remover-does a great job removing my mascara
-Laneige Water Sleep Pack-only tried this once but I think you're supposed to use it on top of your regular moisturizer because it wasn't that hydrating on me
-My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask-tried this once in HK because my skin was dehydrated-looking forward to trying it again in Vancouver where the air is a lot drier right now
-Cure Aqua Gel-took me FOREVER to find this. I've only used it once and found it quite drying but it hasn't irritated my sensitive skin so far

I would totally go to Peach and Lily and try some of their products. They are hand picked by the girls there and the ingredients are crazy good. Check it out:
Hope that helps.

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil, My Beauty Diary sheet masks, and B&C My Favourite Mannan Peeling Gel. It's the best exfoliant (physical) I've found thus far, and it doesn't aggravate my sensitive, dehydrated skin at all. The granules (if you can even call them that!) kind of just 'melt' away as they scrub.

I do love the Fancl, mind, but it is kind of PITA to trek over to the Asian shops to get (Pacific Mall, Chinatown, etc.) I was hoping the Asian supermarket by work would've had it, but alas... the selection of things other than BB creams was pretty paltry. It is really nice if you can get a hold of it, but it's no cheaper (or any less cheaper) than Lancome or shu uemura or Boscia here; and it's a lot easier to just run to Shoppers and get the Lancome (or Nip+Fab if I'm skint).

I have dark pigmentation on my face and have tried a few serums. The best so far is the Caudalie serum. I think it was Vinoperfect. I also use El Advanced Night Repair concentrate on a regular basis and it works.
