the reality is that plus size women don't look anything like her...
You realize that "plus size" is now marketed towards sizes 10-30. So, if you're a 10, 12, 14 ... guess what, you're plus sized.

that is so wrong..I did not know thatYou realize that "plus size" is now marketed towards sizes 10-30. So, if you're a 10, 12, 14 ... guess what, you're plus sized.
no, I agree it's unlikely anyone is going to try to gain weight to look like her. but young girls who are overweight may look at her and think "I'm hot; I'm going to go put on my short-shorts and crop top and show it all off". And girls who are morbidly obese may try to fool themselves into thinking they're like Ashley and it's all good. There's a middle ground. We can't all look like models but we can try to be healthy and dress appropriately for our body types.I doubt anyone is going to look at her and say, "wow, she looks good let me gain a bunch of weight to look like her." I have been thin and fat. And thin was better. She is overweight and not healthy. She definitely weighs more than 200lbs.
She dresses herself very well and knows what looks good on her- except those teeny tiny bikinis. When she's dressed, I actually don't think she looks that big, especially compared to 'normal' people.

I know right? I don't know how she can get her stomach so flat and her face always looks so thin. I eat like a grain of salt and my face bloats like no tomorrow.I think this bish is the luckiest one of them all - hot modeling career without having to diet. With her gorgeous face and her tiny little waist, I wonder how many hungry models competing for a spot on a runway are jealous that she can be the hottest new name without having to do half the work...
I think a lot of it must be genetics.....some women the fat goes to their hips, some to belly. She's lucky she has a thin face and flat belly. A woman I know gained quite a bit of weight. I'm guessing she went from 120 lbs to 150+. Not only did her hips get big but her face blew up. Same with losing weight. I had a woman I worked with who lost a substantial amount of weight. Her face went all saggy. Another one who lost a lot and her face remained firm. They were both probably in their 40's.I know right? She doesn't look like she weights more than 200lbs and weight can be deceiving. However, I don't think the idea is that women will look at her and want to gain weight but more the idea that women who are her size and larger can have someone modeling clothing catering to their size. Plus, there's the concept of the woman who is a size 20 losing weight and is now a 16....when you lose weight, you want new clothes and want to feel good about that accomplishment...she serves a purpose...to relate to women, same as woman who are a size 6 or 8 has relatable models. Personally, I don't want to see some size 2 model...I never want to be size 2 by choice. I'd rather see someone who looks like Ashley or someone who is a size 6-10. But the idea of being obsessed with thinness is part of the fashion industry's cultivated white standard of beauty that I really can't understand or find relatable.I doubt anyone is going to look at her and say, "wow, she looks good let me gain a bunch of weight to look like her." That's the thing about 'plus' sized models...most are size 8 through size 14 or so. Most 'normal' American women people are probably Ashley's size btw.She dresses herself very well and knows what looks good on her- except those teeny tiny bikinis. When she's dressed, I actually don't think she looks that big, especially compared to 'normal' people.
I think this is a misconception...she probably does diet because she need to maintain her size. I highly doubt her diet is ish and that maintaining her size is probably more linked to how she exercises. Luckily for her, her genetic composition is such that her weight seems to go to her thighs/butt as opposed to her stomach. However, I doubt she doesn't have a diet that she follows because she needs to maintain her size but she can't get smaller or bigger for risk of being outside the typical plus size model standards. I suspect she does a lot of body composition exercises/strength training and very little cardio. If she's doing a lot of strength training, it's what's helping to keep her stomach slim. There's lots of 'thick fit' programs out there for women who don't want to slim.I think this bish is the luckiest one of them all - hot modeling career without having to diet.
