Apple and Coach

I have recently used apple garde spray on legacy cognac and carnelian. I've also used it on the mens' marine bleecker weekend tote, classic mahogany and light tan (camel?) coach bags and some others, even a fabric hampton's tote bag with light blue leather and vachetta leather. So far, no problems. I have not taken all of them out after that, but I did do a water droplet test on a few and the water beaded.

In another thread, someone used apple leather care conditioner on white leather on a bag and they said it turned green (I think).

Always test first on a leather tag and/or the creed patch.

Thanks everyone...is the Apple conditioner better than the Coach conditioner? Thanks again!

The coach conditioner contains silicone which looks pretty because of the "shine" it gives, but silicone can build up over time. Apple is a gentle conditioner that can be used repeatedly as needed. And it seems to go just fine on my vachetta leathers.

awesome thanks! I know you know your stuff...so off to order some! Oh...should I order the rain/weather spray or just conditioner?

Hi Ladies, sorry to bump an old thread but this seems to be the most appropriate place to ask. I've read this whole thread so I think I have a good understanding about how to use the Applegard. My question is about what leathers to use the conditioner and rainguard – more specifically - are Madison and Legacy bags okay to use it on? Are there certain colors I shouldn’t use it on, such as the parchment or mushroom Caroline or the Legacy Sunflower color? I’ve read not to use it on metallic. What about the Madison Caroline Bronze Croc? Not sure if that's the same type of metallic that's been discussed here. I’m not concerned about cleaning but want to protect them from getting dirty or stains like color transfer. TIA!

I've used the conditioner and rain guard on both legacy and Madison bags and it worked just fine!

I sprayed my Parchment Willis and Tossed Laser Lindsey thoroughly with Apple Garde and have not had problems with the leather. The Lindsey still ended up with some denim transfer from dark jeans but it was faint and wiped mostly off. I probably didn't use enough Apple on it, to be honest. So far no issues at all with the Willis. I can't speak to using it on metallic because I never have.

I just used both, the conditioner and spray on my grey phoebe due to the same concerns..No problems at all with either :)

I need to order some of this. Looking at reviews it looks like the cleaner is not as highly recommended. But you feel the conditioner and spray did not harm your Phoebe at all?

I would want to use something before I take her out for a spin!

The cleaner is pretty harsh imo. It lifted the color from my cognac bag.I love the conditioner though.

I just sprayed a few of my bags they all came out great- berry willis, mint courtenay- black molly-uv duffle-magenta issy-black kristin(fp, not mff)

worked great died no spots or anything,

Note the willis looked BAD when it was first sprayed like it was ruined, but within 5 minutes it dried perfect.
