the willis looked BAD when it was first sprayed like it was ruined, but within 5 minutes it dried perfect.

I second this! I thought I ruined mine too but it was fine within 5 minutes. I have also used apple conditioner & spray on my UV duffle, sunflower duffle and my natural vachetta Willis and all have been fine.

I just sprayed a few of my bags they all came out great- berry willis, mint courtenay- black molly-uv duffle-magenta issy-black kristin(fp, not mff)

worked great died no spots or anything,

Note the willis looked BAD when it was first sprayed like it was ruined, but within 5 minutes it dried perfect.
coach1974 you just answered my question i have both willis and izzy and just got the apple guard but was unsure if i could spray them now i will be thanks

Thanks farris2. Have you used the repellent too? Yes, I did read the cleaner was harsh, so I think I will skip getting that.
Are you using conditioner THEN the guarde?? Both? I want to treat my Legacy bag in camel. When I left home this morning it was raining. Since I was running late I didn't have time to switch bags to a patent and was kicking myself for not treating it yet! Fortunately it was fine when I got to work.

yes it worked great!

I put the purse handles on a plastic coat hanger held the coat hanger, and sprayed it out in the garage i didn't want to risk finger prints.
hung then from the door trim to dry LOL

I need to order some of this. Looking at reviews it looks like the cleaner is not as highly recommended. But you feel the conditioner and spray did not harm your Phoebe at all?

I would want to use something before I take her out for a spin!

There was no problems at all. I used the conditioner, waited awhile, then sprayed the apple guard and let it dry. The leather is the same as the day I bought it (going on 3 weeks). Now I will just spray my bag once in awhile and condition as needed.

I just used both, the conditioner and spray on my grey phoebe due to the same concerns..No problems at all with either :)

Okay, I am sorry if that sounds like a silly question, BUT...

Do I use the conditioner on the Phoebe and then spray the rain guard? Or do I spray the rain guard first and then use the conditioner afterwards as needed?

Thanks!:D

Great - thanks for the info!

I just went to the next page and voila! The answer was there! Thanks!

The other person that mentioned using conditioner and spray did the conditioner first. I have yet to receive mine so have done either or used my new bag!

Hello! This is my first post and hopefully I am in the right spot. :p i have an Ashley hippie that is showing a sign of dullness where I normally put my hand to open it. I have lost my care instructions :( And I am not sure if I can use conditioner on it. However I purchased apple conditioner and the rain guard. Can I use these on this bag? It's Ashley hippie black F17605.

Also, I recently joined the Willis family after a long wait. I purchased the small black willis (19886 with brass hardware and legacy stripe lining) the care card says only to clean with damp cloth. Nothing about conditioner. Can I use apple conditioner on this? Or atleast the rain guard spray? As well as a regular parchment willis I ordered. It has not come in yet so I am not sure what the care card will say, but does anyone know if I can use apple conditioner and rain guard on is bag?

Thank you!

Hi there, I see the person who last posted here is new, just like me! No one has replied to her yet, so I am taking a chance that someone might reply to me at some point. I couldn't find a better place to post my question.

If you couldn't tell already by my username, I love Coach vachetta leather with a passion. Especially the bags Coach made for their 65th anniversary. I know they say not to do anything to it. Just let it do it's thing over time and let it develop a patina, and any stains or watermarks are supposed to blend in over time too. I have seen several posts on various threads talking about treating vachetta from other brands, including Coach, such as LV and D&B.

My questions is, do different brands of vachetta handbags require different treatment? Do LV and D&B say something different about how to care for their vachetta leather products? I ask this because I see promising posts about results achieved by conditioning vachetta with certain conditioning products. I have several Coach bags, most of them are vachetta, some in black, some in whiskey. My main goal is to protect them, and also, I have one bag in particular that seems dry. Almost like the owner before me tried cleaning it and it lost some of it's natural moisture.

Any help is much appreciated, and I will keep looking to find the answers I'm looking for in case no one gets a chance to reply! :D
