Hi there, I see the person who last posted here is new, just like me! No one has replied to her yet, so I am taking a chance that someone might reply to me at some point. I couldn't find a better place to post my question.

If you couldn't tell already by my username, I love Coach vachetta leather with a passion. Especially the bags Coach made for their 65th anniversary. I know they say not to do anything to it. Just let it do it's thing over time and let it develop a patina, and any stains or watermarks are supposed to blend in over time too. I have seen several posts on various threads talking about treating vachetta from other brands, including Coach, such as LV and D&B.

My questions is, do different brands of vachetta handbags require different treatment? Do LV and D&B say something different about how to care for their vachetta leather products? I ask this because I see promising posts about results achieved by conditioning vachetta with certain conditioning products. I have several Coach bags, most of them are vachetta, some in black, some in whiskey. My main goal is to protect them, and also, I have one bag in particular that seems dry. Almost like the owner before me tried cleaning it and it lost some of it's natural moisture.

Any help is much appreciated, and I will keep looking to find the answers I'm looking for in case no one gets a chance to reply! :D

I am no help whatsoever in answering your questions, but I seem to remember some of the girls over on the coach rehab and rescue clubhouse discussing vachetta. Maybe someone on there can help?

Post any cleaning, conditioning, and leather treating questions here for Coach and Apple Care products.

Hello ladies! Has anyone used the Apple conditioner &/ or Rain guard on Parker (or any other Gelato leather) items? Did they work well? I'm still trying to get my pre-owned Parker Satchel into tip-top shape but I'm terrified of ruining the gorgeous gelato leather. I'd appreciate any advice or thoughts on this matter :-) Thanks!

I've used the Apple conditioner and rain guard on all of my Parker bags (cinnamon, pink pearl, and white) and they look great. I use Apple on all my leather bags and have never had any problems. I love the squishy Parker leather!

What color is your satchel?

Has anyone used apple guard or the kiwi spray on the pinnacle eva in putty? How were the results?
I've tried using the apple conditioner on my embellished black sophia (just the handles) and black stain came out of leather and made it look kinda dull now so I am afraid of using anything on leather bags now.

Thanks for the assurance :smile1: My Parker satchel is black. I used the Apple conditioner on my black Zoe & Maggie & they both look Ah-May-Zing!! I just finished coating my Parker, waiting for her to dry so I can buff, lol! I'll Rainguard her outside tomorrow. Actually, i haven't sprayed ANY of my bags yet... Any tips? Thank u! (
*Btw: been thinking of adding the small Parker handbag in cinnamon to my Collection. Do u happen to have a pic that shows the color very true to life?

Well if anyone has the Apple cleaner it can always be used on leather shoes when they get dirty. Or leather furniture.

Well, I won't place an order for the Apple cleaner then if my bag babies might get their dye lifted.
I have a green chloe Marcie that I used apple cleaner to clean the bottom. I noticed immediately that the color was rubbing off and stopped. Had used apple before with no problem but won't use it again. That said, I always do a tiny spot test now before I clean any bag.

Hello,

I'm new to all of this. I had no idea you needed to condition leather bags before this forum. I have a few leather bags... D&B Dillen, Coach Legacy Penny, Coach Pebbled Leather, Kate Spade Cobble Hill, MK Fulton. Most of my leather is the soft pebbled leather kind. I've read this post and from I've read, I have a few questions:

1. From what I gathered, the Apple Conditioner should work on the pebbled leather?
2. Do you just rub the conditioner all over the bag?
3. So, I've been told that the reason you need to condition bags is so the leather doesn't crack. I've actually had some of my leather bags for several years now and it looks just as if I had bought it yesterday which is why I didn't know you needed to condition them. At what point does the leather "crack"?
4. Some of the brass hardware is "tarnished". Is there something to fix that?

I'm so sorry for all the questions. I'm going to order the Apple Conditioner and just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thanks so much!
