Check post #642. I hope this helps.

Yes that was very helpful. Thank you :).

Since I've already used 2 coats of the apple garde on my white Brooke, should I just skip the moisturizer? Is it ok to moisturize over the apple garde, or that defeat the purpose of the stain garde?

Sorry for all of the questions. I'm new to using these products and am terrified of messing up my bags.

how often do you all reapply the leather care and rain garde? i need some more garde and plan to do an order taking advantage of their 20% off memorial day sale... but not sure if i need to buy more conditioner?

thanx

The first time I use my bag I apply the Apple conditioner then the spray. I reapply the Apple conditioner whenever my bag seems a bit dry, usually every month or two depending on the bag. It won't hurt your bag. You could go ahead and reapply the spray as well just to be safe.

I use the conditioner a lot more than the spray, as I put it on again whenever my bag seems dry, or when I pull a bag out of its storage after a long absence.

The conditioner helps, too, but I'd use both especially on a white leather bag. I have lots of white leather bags and have never had any problems as long as I used the Apple conditioner and garde.

Thank you for your help. I am going to condition it now, and will reapply the apple garde again later. With 2 coats of apple garde, the conditioner, and another coat of apple garde, I should be all set :smile1:.

I just got my rain and stain guard spray today ..I just sprayed my audrey tote and I will be spraying my pale pink hobo. I've read some great reviews on this spray. I made sure I read some about using this on light colored bags!! I will use the cond. and spray every few months to maintain my bags:)

can you only order the apple conditioner on line or is there a store that you can buy at it? i need to get some but don't want to wait for the shipping. TIA and if there is a problem with the cleaner then i wont be getting that.

I've found it at Burlington Coat Factory. It's not ever been in an "obvious" spot either. And the employees never seem to know where it is so you have to search. I found mine sitting above a circular rack of non leather jackets in the coat section of the store. Go figure

I have seen the same! Always look all over the store on any flat surface you can find. One of the locations near me usually has it on the lower sections at the ends of the tall wooden dividers in the middle of the store. I have also seen it on the ends of the coat racks(the long row ones) on a little shelf, usually no where near the leather coats though. I have also found it on a shelf in the middle of the women's clothes too so ya never know!

Lately, the rain guarde sprays have been rather beat up with totally cracked lids or no lid at all. I have only ever seen the Rain Guarde Spray and the Leather Care Conditioner so they don't carry everything but they do carry the two important ones!
