Anyone tired of LV...

Oh I have a bad reputation for this. Well first off my mind constantly changes all the time with everything, always has. I often times will love a design but then get kind of tired of it especially if the bag is not a classic design. I have been leaning more towards bags that are not classic lately because I really like the more unique pieces lately. Right now I am 100 percent happy with every bag but that can change. Of course this means I could have bags that I no longer use and a collection so large I could end up on the show hoarders however this is why I made my if it doesn't fit in my purse closet (I have one for LV only) then I must sell a bag. I just had abit of a consignment/buying debacle though so I am thinking of taking a break from selling for now and buying(preowned) and just enjoying what I have at the moment.

I would sell the bag of you are tired of it. I kind of got tired of my mono NF which is why I went with the palm/dot NF I just felt it was more different. As far as the color transfer I do not think there is anyway out of it which is why I am always nervous to buy azur/vernis bags.

Maybe you should try the soft lockit
I loved that it could fit everything I put in my neverfull and its beautiful and I know it's a lovely bag but most folks don't even know what it is.

I was in the same boat- I've had my DE speedy 35 for a few years now and stopped carrying it about a year ago. I gravitated towards shoulder bags and bought a Speedy B 30. But since getting that bag I realized I love the opening of the 35 so much more! I dont like the way the speedy b 35 looks when it's carried by the shoulder strap though so that's not an option for me. That said, I've started carrying my de speedy 35 a lot now. And I love that I can find things easier in the 35! Definitely don't sell- I took down my listing and find I've been using it a lot.

Hehe thank you for this! I've been wanting the Speedy 30 but I'm already annoyed with the opening of the Speedy 35, I can't imagine how I would enjoy the Speedy 30 opening even though I like the overall look and size of the Speedy 30. Yes I'm afraid of selling it for a loss and then regretting it later and wanting it back. It shall remain in my collection. :) It's a good bag for overnight, fits a lot of stuff.

Yes I get tired of bags often. But LV bags have been the ONLY bags so far that I can FALL BACK IN LOVE after getting tired of them. It is so strange. All my other brands I get tired, I move on, I never look back. Only LV...... Such lure, and I still don't know why.

That is why I am reluctant in selling LV bags. Cause who knows when I will fall back in love again. I do sell other brands. As a matter of fact I think I have pretty sold off all my other non-LV bags over the years.

+1.

To OP - I know DC is a very image conscious area and seems like a lot of young people have rich uncles or consulting jobs right out of college and carry a variety of expensive bags, not just NF's. I regularly see Goyard and Hermes when out and about. It's interesting because sometimes you almost need something understated depending on the situation. Heck, I feel flashy at my place of employment with my monogram stuff, lol. Would you consider the Epi NF or other models? The Epi NF is a little more unique and durable, if the overall style works for you. Have you looked into YSL bags at all? I'm a big fan but they seem to be a little fancy for my lifestyle at the moment. I live in Arlington & lately have been considering a NF MM in DE because of the rain here. Rain rain, go away! :smile1:

I have thought of epi but there is just something about the leather that I'm not terribly fond of. It is beautiful but I like soft pebbled leather. I love Saint Laurent but the large logo is a bit off putting. I too tend to be a bit casual. I bought a Chanel jumbo a couple months ago and probably have worn it like three times! Very sad. I actually have not seen many goyard and Hermes bags where I work and live. I work off of K street in a law office and live in Chevy chase. People here are very understated about wealth and when I say that I mean they don't actually carry lux handbags here. They prefer to invest that money, buy nicer houses (or second houses) or cars, sent their kids to Holton or donate it. I rarely see a Birkin or Chanel. It's very interesting! Very unlike ny or la or other places.

Not yet tired of any of my items. However, I don't too much care for the more classic LV bags. I also live in the DC area and have no desire to purchase a Speedy or NF. Not so much because other people have them....I'm just sick of seeing them everywhere. Especially on the metro. :)

I fell out of love with my white MC agenda and was going to sell it. I never got around to it and ended up falling in love with it again. I've learned with things like LV and jewelry to keep it because I'll fall back in love with it again or turn it into something else (regarding the jewelry).

Whenever I grow tired of a bag I switch it out. I haven't gotten sick of any of my LV long term. I carried my Speedy 30 DE all winter - early spring and I did get tired of carrying it. Now that I've switched out to my Totally I see my Speedy in the closet and appreciate how lovely it is.
