Anyone familiar with Marla Aaron's jewelry?

The Letter Locks have arrived, and they are cute as can be. The prices kinda surprised me; they all start in the 4-figure range. Looks like I'll be sitting this collection out; I'd rather have a solid gold medium lock, which is under $900.View attachment 4565585

I agree. I'm surprised some of the silver pieces aren't lower in price. I don't love the D, so not going to pine for one of these. Her instagram looks amazing today if you view her whole page.

I'm not sure where you are, but I ordered my pieces from Ylang23 in Texas, and I didn't have to pay tax (I"m in NY, so would be taxed if I order directly from Marla Aaron). Great customer service, and they are also on E bates and Mr Re bates, sometimes up to 8% which helps.

Sorry, these are terrible photos, but hopefully helpful. I do love the bolt lock, if I had second chain, I would wear it separately from the medium. To wear them together, I have it in the loop of the chain, not the lock. The star lock is a bit larger, so you have more options of interlocking them. I promised myself I would sell the bolt to pay for the star....but it's hard to part with it.

Two things about Marla .. and these are my opinions:
  1. Her stuff is outrageously expensive for what it is; it's 14k gold .. not 18k and forget it when the piece has any gemstones!
  2. She is extremely litigious and has threatened many other Jewelers (I know this as she did this to me)
Bottom line, she claims that the designs are her 'creation'; they are NOT! Carabiners have been around forever; just ask any Rock Climber about them. As such, they have been copied in Gold and Silver YEARS ago (I remember a local Metalsmith in Connecticut who used to do them as he was an avid Rock Climber as well).

There are many other folks who do these locks in higher karat golds and including Diamonds at a lot less price than Marla's pieces! Same with the chains ..

Interesting. I just came across her Instagram page and was intrigued but got the feeling her pieces weren’t worth the price.
