Anyone Ever Buy and/or Sell on Tradesy?

I am in terrible situation with VC now. In November I changed my payment method to non US bank, which is allowed at VC. They made 7 payments within a month, which I never received. My bank said they don't have the money, they don't see any transactions. After weeks of waiting VC provided me some info about transfers, and that's all. They say talk to your bank, my bank says talk to their bank. VC doesn't do anything to help but formal answers, I sent them like 20 or 30 emails since November. So I am out of thousands of dollars, they don't care. Be careful with them. In the past they already lost (stole) 2 of my items that were shipped using my own label (cause I couldn't use Fedex at that time), and had proof of delivery. they just said they didn't receive it.
I'm sorry to hear about that. it's most likely on VC side. payments are generated automatically. a new "integrated" site with Tradesy is mega glitchy, esp regarding addresses and billing, that's why we had problems with labels. The same thing can be happening with foreign payments. While you have all info correct probably some glitch prevents the transfer (most likely country is wrong, that's why they were bugging us about billing for labels while all info was correct on our side). You need some serious help from VC, so actual tech and finance stuff in charge of ACH will look at it. CS is horrible, they don't forward any issues to relevant departments. I would ask VC to show records of the payments made, like actual ACH screenshots. This part must be messed up if they start checking on it. If they refuse to help file a claim with BBB. It will make VC do something. It just can't be correct on VC side. If your foreign bank hasn't received money (no incoming transfers pending) it simply hasn't been sent correctly.

they provided me some transfer confirmation, but these screenshots don't even have the name of their bank. I did ask to redirect it to higher department. many many times. will keep fighting, thanks for reminding me of BBB.

I was reading reviews about VA the other day, it seems you are not the only one who has this issue. There were plenty of reviews were people said that they’ve been waiting for their payments for month. And cc was no help. Im sorry it might be very stressful, I know I’d be loosing my mind..
Are you from Europe? My friend lives in Poland and she told that there are government agencies that you can complain to about a company, and that these agencies are extremely strict. Meaning a company will be forced to respond and resolve an issue.
Overall, VA cc is a joke, and it seems like the company does a lot of shady things…

yes, I am in Europe now. trying to check what else I can do. they just can't care less

Most likely you have IBAN banking protocol for Europe, not ACH Fedwire. IBAN comprises of a string of numbers, so confirm the bank ID numbers are accurate and do same for personal account. Yeah kinda have to troubleshoot your way out as VC won’t help at all cuz their fallback is always that users enter their own banking for payments not VC. Good luck

PS in US their payments appear as HyperWallet platform if that helps. It’s not a bank per se

Can please someone clarify this for me?
I sold an item (prof seller). I just received an email that says" We wanted to let you know that unfortunately your buyer has decided to return this item. As this return falls within the 14-day return policy, the sale has been cancelled and the item is being shipped directly to our hub. You’ll find your tracking information below. We’re sorry this sale didn’t work out! We will now relist the item for sale on your account and store it safely at our hub until it sells."
I confused. So they will keep my item at the hub and hold my payment until it sells again!? Or will they release the payment for that sale?

I'm fairly sure they wont pay you until it sells again.
I believe they just store it at their hub so it doesn't have to be shipped back to them anew & cost another shipping charge X2 to send back to you and again back to them.
Sorry about that..

Perhaps somebody else knows for absolute certainty but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

I'm a buyer who really liked Tradesy and hated Vestiaire. I think I deleted my account on VC. My account on Tradesy was still active. Now that Tradesy has migrated I can't log in to my account. VC says my email doesn't exist in their database. When I try to re-register it tells me there's already an account under my email. When I ask for a password reset it says my email doesn't exist. Really helpful.

I thought about registering a new account under a different email but they want a phone number and I don't want to give VC my phone number!

I think the only way is to contact support and ask to restore your old account on VC. until then they won't allow you to migrate or make a new account with the same email or phone.

Oh I don't like that at all. Why should they keep my item AND not pay me for it? What if I want to list it on other platforms or donate it? I just sold one item and they said it was "authenticated" and I got paid. I am presuming it is going directly to my bank account as they don't seem to keep payments on account. After reading about the trouble someone else had, I will check immediately that it was received. I let my whole Tradesy closet migrate over but it seems there are only a fraction of the items actually listed. I am not sure if that's because they rejected items, or they removed them because I pretty much ignored the website since the migration. I only just had to reset my password because of the one item that finally sold there. One good thing about Tradesy going out is that my Poshmark sales have increased. Not sure if that is coincidence or not.

Can someone please clarify whether buyers have 14 days to return an item including shipping an item back or is it just 14 days for them to decide and then they can ship it even on the 14th day?
I am confused by this too. Once they say it has been authenticated and they ship to the buyer, they also say you are paid. But what happens if they forward the item to the buyer and then they refuse or return? I want my item back if that happens - they can't keep it and I would just try and sell it on another platform.

It sounds to me that in this particular case, Tradesy is acting like a consignment service and taken it upon themselves to hold it at their facility until it re-sells. I think this is similar to how The Real Real operates. Certainly, you should be able to request they return the item to you rather than holding onto it.

So glad I read this thread about others not seeing their payments land in their bank. Vestaire Collective also cheated me. They said they transferred my payment to my account but when I checked my bank account - it wasn't there. I entered a chat. The website said it was transferred on 3/6 but the "chat" said it wasn't released until 3/31. That's worse then Tradesy was with their payments. Meanwhile - today I checked my bank and the money is not there. The "chat" said she'd transfer the issue to their escalation team that she expects to get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. Ok. But I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office if I don't get a satisfactory response and my money by then. Its a US bank and should have been an instaneous transfer. It goes without saying I won't sell anything else on that website. Its over $100 and the item is of course long gone now - off to the buyer from their authentication in Brooklyn - which I also had to wait for after I shipped the item. We're talking over a month since shipment now.
