Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and words. :smile1: i really appreciate them. I did not want to take the thread off topic, but just wanted to point out that a lot of us are here on this forum as a harmless way to distract ourselves from the everyday pressures of our lives. Purses and lovely ladies who love purses are a great way for me to take a time out and have some harmless fun. :supacool: Thanks so much for being here for me. :smile1:

Big hugs to you, my friend! So happy you are here to tell your story. I'm sure you are a strong, brave person for living through and experiencing that horrible tragedy.

Enjoy all your lovely bags and the distracting fun of retail therapy! I know I do! :smile1:

I was in tower 2 wtc during 9/11 and this week is always very difficult for me. Sometimes planning the next bag is a way of coping with stress. :smile1:Don't assume that just because all of us are talking about bags that we are superficial. Sometimes we are just coping and escaping for a few minutes.:smile1:

Ugh, quoted the wrong post. I wish I could get my head straight.

Yes! I'm dealing with the loss of my fur baby and my son's liver transplant complications by escaping into this forum here and there. I completely understand the need to escape for Sanity's sake.

i'm so sorry for your loss and... (omg) your child had a liver transplant  and is experiencing complications! i'm so sorry... my prayers are with your family.

these posts are reminders that we really don't know whats going on in peoples lives. best wishes to all the ladies in the forum!

Back to the topic, it's sad that people have to look down on someone else's purchase just because it has a lower monetary value or the style is "lesser" than what they carry. One of my best friends carries label-less canvas bags that she finds at thrift stores for $3. Do I think what she has is beneath me just because they cost on average about 1% of what I carry? Absolutely not! Her bags are adorable and they make her happy. I'm sure that with the amount of bags I have in my closet, I could have saved my money for a premier bag, but do I desire to have one? Not especially, because there hasn't been anything that I've looked at that has captured my attention in the way that Coach has. If you have the money for premier bags, that's wonderful. If you have the money for contemporary bags, that's wonderful. If you have the money for label-less thrift store finds, that's wonderful. As for me, my Coach and MK bags happily reside in my closet alongside a small assortment of bags from Kohls, Fashion Bug, Gabriel Brothers, and vintage label-less leather bags that I permanently borrowed from my mother.

Amen--That was a very heartbreaking day.
You are right my friend!! If talking about bags helps you to escape, then talk on. ;) I will be here....

Yup you made an excellent point. Life is not about being all serious all the time. It's okay we have first world problems. :)

^^^ +1

So true. We all have different things to deal with and it's nice to come here and share our enjoyment of Coach (and other brands) bags.

Yeah I know in the scheme of things they are just bags, but there seem to be a lot of us here on this forum that get enjoyment from having 'just bags'. I think that's a good thing.
