Thank you for those pearls of wisdom.

And when your $600 full price purse's leather is cracking, and the thread is coming loose on the handles, and the color is changing in big blotches, and you "can't carry it any more because it's last year's bag and out of style" we'll remember your golden advice as we hand our still-perfect genuine vintage bags down to our grandkids.

Take your opinion somewhere it might be appreciated.

"All this is a great big snowball of negativity."

You're the one throwing the snowballs. And if you don't like or value our advice, DON'T READ IT. Heaven forbid that we should force you to waste your time here since you're much wiser than we'll ever be. And don't let the door smack you in your brain on your way out.

BTW, all your opinions didn't seem to have stopped you when you actually NEEDED expert advice on authenticity, did it?

Let's hope you don't need any more in the future. Capisce?

And tell us more about the fake pink Celine you bought, or was it two?

(Sorry, I've been nice all week and I'm even over my quota. And biting my tongue raises he11 with my blood pressure.)
Excellent points! I'm so proud of our Coach forum family. We have some eloquent writers.

Oh dear, I think you have accidentally posted this in the wrong Forum. You see, here in the Coach Forum, there is no b@#*%$g, just a sharing of information and knowledge about a particular brand of handbags and purses that has a long and fascinating history. Here on the Coach Forum we ask a lot of questions, share the thrill of hunting for and finding that elusive item, and congratulate each other on our attempts to preserve vintage pieces that would otherwise end up in the bin. We also discuss our concern for the growing number of fakes in the marketplace, the lack of integrity of those sellers who participate in the trade of such items, and we offer support and advice to those honest sellers who have unjustly been accused of such crimes. Yes, you must be in the wrong place.
:goodpost: Another perfectly said response!
Thanks Dolly..I kinda lost it today..especially since I was the one who wrote about how" I was stressing about buying bags online"...BTW, if y'all check out her previous posts, she got called out selling Fake Celines, NOW.. Back to Work! Aunthenticating- rehabbing - buying &selling ! You all kicked some bootie today!!MEE~YOW!!! Sheri
My heart goes out to you. :hugs:I saw those posts about her fake Celines! She just sold a factory Coach bag. I bet she doesn't want her ebay customers to follow her advice.

Yep, and if I'd bought over three grand's worth of fake bags to flip, Coaches OR Celines, I probably wouldn't want someone telling buyers how to recognise fakes either.

Do you think she's trying to tell us to "Get a life"? :D

It sounds like a certain little miss needs to clean her glass house....selling fakes hmmmmm. No wonder why she seems to have an issue with our process. You didn't lose it Sheri, you spoke your truth. Blessings to you and your family.

Hello coach buyers,

Rather than stressing out about if your bag has particular letter on the zipper; if the label's lettering is engraved deep enough and if words are capitalized correctly...
Ask yourself:
Is the bag good quality ?
Do I love the bag ?
Did you get a good price ?
Am I having buyers remorse ?

If buying a bag online stresses you out so much that you have the need to create a forum to b*@!$% on.... maybe you should go to the mall and pay full price, for peace of mind... there are much more useful topics that would benefit from your time and efforts.

All this is a great big snowball of negativity.

No disrespect intended, just keeping it real.

She not only sold fake Celines, but with a highly faked brand such as Uggs, one would expect this "preacher" to show her own pictures of the actual item!

This was her listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UGG-Over-th...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
And the picture used in that listing:
$_35.JPG

And it certainly appears that she stole the pictures from Rakuten -- scroll down:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/sakuraselect/item/8811/

She has this listing for an Under Armour tank top:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Under-armou...pt=US_Womens_Athleticwear&hash=item3cde33cb6b

with pictures stolen from this seller's listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNDER-ARMOU...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

^^^Re the above, she may have been the buyer, but picture theft is disallowed without the rights owner's permission!

I honestly don't get to the Mall, so I have no idea what a Celine is..But its def NOT in my price range, BUT... imagine YOU buy a Fake 1300. dollar bag, would You ask yourself
"Do I LOVE THE BAG? Is it made well? Do I like the Design? Is it Good Quality? Do I have Buyers Remorse?

But you did listed it on eBay and a buyer bought it but revised their feedback. Then you listed another fake Celine Mini dune bag!

Even before i read the other responses, it felt to me that this was written by a seller who thinks that people ought to be happy about buying fakes because they are too cheap to "go to the mall and pay full price". Well, OK, i guess people can be like that; when i was a cash-strapped teen, i had no problems buying $5 fake-whatevers in street bazaars. However, now that i've tumbled into the wonderful world of vintage (and not-available-in-malls) Coach bags, which unfortunately co-exists with the less-wonderful world of predatory fake-makers and false-guide-writers, i have nothing but appreciation for the ladies (and gents, cos i don't want to assume that there are none) here who spend so much time to research, collect, and, above all, share expertise with those of us who benefit from it - and for free. The only negativity i've seen here is directed towards fake bags and their makers/sellers, and i don't see anything to fault about that. I do see myself being very careful, though, in case i ever come across anything being sold by anyone called Janzrockinvip.

Maybe JANZ isn't as -ROCKIN of a VIP as she thinks she is.

Or maybe this part of my List comments rubbed her the wrong way:
"Don't expect every seller on eBay to be honest and to tell the truth about their merchandise. The dishonest ones lie about authenticity, condition, where they got it (the fakes are often "gifts" from moms, sisters, friends, bosses (!), ex-husbands, ex-boyfriends, the Easter Bunny or the Man In The Moon). The stories some of these crooks can tell about where they got their wonderful beautiful "rare" bags could win a Pulitzer Prize for creative writing."

Did anyone else notice the description of both "Celines"? (Is a fake Celine a "Feline?)

"Got this as a gift....no receipt. the bag has serial number tag on the inside pocket, my best guess is it's authenticate however, i am not an expert. please do your own research..."
(gotta love those authenticity disclaimers! The listing should have been removed by Ebay for that alone.)
and
"I do not have the receipt as it was a gift, but I did send photos to an expert...the ones attached and was told it's 100% authentic."
(No hint as to who the "expert" was but they obviously need to brush up on their authenticating skills, even though some people think that's just a waste of time).

It was actually shortly after her listing on a previous ID was deemed as fake that she changed her ID from jmscherer51371 to janzvip.

Then it was 2 months later (after changing the ID) when she KNOWINGLY relisted her previously sold fake(s) and was caught again.

This post was from June 2013 when her selling ID was jmscherer51371:

And this from August 2013 when her selling ID was jansvip:

J8H-9929 IS SHOWING UP IN NUMEROUS FAKES

Getting back to helping people avoid getting ripped off - and the recent poster who relisted a fake bag and doesn't think these things are important has hereby been given Fair Warning, please "waste your time" somewhere else - three fakes, all different styles, were found by an Ebay poster just today with J8H-9929 serial numbers. The -9929 style number also turned up in a totally fake bag with a prefix H4B which is already on the List as being one that should be checked when it's used in a handbag instead of an item from the Business or Travel lines. Although the List says that H4B- prefixes with style numbers starting with 99** or 98** are usually genuine, there are exceptions. (Darn, it would have been nice to have gone at least a little longer without having to add more fake numbers!)

The J8H- prefix is a Red Flag, here's the REAL 9929 Sling, please note the divided single strap with the shoulder pad:

Hyacinth, thank you for protecting us from the fakers!!

Awwww...bless your heart. We do so appreciate your concern for our time and efforts.

Here's just a little FYI for you. MOST styles that are posted here for authentication are rare or vintage or no longer available on the retail market. So simply "going to the mall" for these items, at full price or any other price point simply isn't a solution. But we greatly appreciate your advise!

There really is no negativity here and in an attempt to carry on that negativity-free feel while writing this reply to you I've damn near bitten my own tongue off.

Have a wonderful day filled with sunshine and roses!!
Well said!

I've always thought that you all do a wonderful job of authenticating Coach bags, not to mention the large amount of time you so freely give to this forum. Thanks from us all.

I have a question for you all...
I've always wondered if you were ever sued, or threatened with a law suit, when a seller got angry with you for posting that their item was a fake? I know some of those ebay sellers can get vicious when things don't go their way. Thanks
