Don't forget the NEWYEAR20 sale on selected items on
ILD/Ebay. I posted about some Alto items in the Alto thread.
But there may be some things in Florentine also.

Also on the main ILD site there are some well priced items in with
discount code 2025 and also some in clearance.
Just remember.... clearance items are final sale.
And this time of year, more so than ordinarily,
I'm wary of final sale.... especially for Florentine items,
but also in general. Also note that for many items,
different colors have different prices and different
restrictions.... so read the item page carefully.

I did see some Florentine items and some pebble items on ILD
that were really good prices. And in the non-clearance
section using the discount code 2025, there was a
Flo folded zip wristlet down to $55, and the coated cotton
cosmetic cases are about $32 (in case you missed them before
or want to add more, it's only $3 more expensive now, still
a great deal), and a lovely Suede Messenger Crossbody
in multiple colors that only $90 after the discount code.

Remember.... free shipping requires $119 purchase.
We don't know what sales are coming in future weeks.
And we don't know when the after holiday returns/rejects
will get into the product stream. But, if the prices are
extra good and the item is returnable, even with a $10
return shipping, then sometimes it's worth it....unless
you have been buying up a storm (like some of us) and
should be staying on 'ban island' for a while. 🤣🤣🤣
I haven't bought anything today!

Buying up a storm...who me?

Coupons for eBay ILD were there yesterday morning, disappeared and are back today but they don't work.

The small Alto Shana is supposed to discount from around $188 to $150 with code (I think it's SAVEBIG20). The only problem is, when applied it says already applied, but it does not give you the stated discount.

Something is off with Dooney this week. Also, not D&B's fault, but three bags were due to arrive today. One order has two bags and a second order with one bag. The single bag went from CT, PA, OH and back to CT where it started.

My plan was to look at the two black bags I ordered, and send the one that didn't work back. I tried to cancel the order within 2 hours of placing it, but they wouldn't let me.

I'm takin a chance. The more expensive bag goes back today and fingers crossed I like the delayed bag when it gets here.

Maybe, the D&B glitches will stop my spending spree with Dooney.

Sometimes when the hassle gets too great, I view that as the universe telling me
to put my handbag buying on pause for a while. Then after a bit, I forget about all
the issues, and start buying up a storm.

Which bag are you returning today?

I feel the same way. It MUST be the universe telling me I don't need the bag.

Actually, I didn't need the Alto red Flavia that arrived today but I couldn't resist the $180.80 price. I only have one red bag and even my husband agreed I should have a back-up red bag.

The bag I returned was the pebble grain short handle shopper. It was bigger than I needed and the Piper that arrives tomorrow is a smaller crossbody. I hope I like it.

I think the Piper is more your style. Size/capacity aside, the Piper appears to be a
more tailored looking and structured bag. It's not an Alto, but it has a similar
'put together' look, to my eye.

I buy both slouchy and structured bags, but the
structured ones usually work better for me.

Hope the Piper is a better fit for what you need.

I have the bag below coming from ILD. (Ordered on the18th, EDD the 29th.) I finally remembered to check ILD on Ebay before I purchased it so I could get free shipping and it was $125.94, which was $26 more! I've never seen that. I bought it for $99 on the 18th (red, of course), and now it's $155, and with the code "Valentine" it's $100.75, which is currently the same as ILD if you use a coupon code. ($125.94 without the code.) If I had waited and ordered it now on Ebay I would have saved $14 because of free shipping. Unless I missed it there was no coupon code last week on Ebay. Buying bags on ILD is like playing the stock market.

I think trying to check D&B, ILD and eBayILD is starting to feel like a sport. Good job checking all options.

The price changes and coupon codes that work or don't are starting to feel like a shopping roller coaster.

The Alto red Flavia went from $180.80 with free shipping is now back up to $374.99. Crazy! I just ordered a few days ago.

Like I need another excuse to buy a Dooney and Bourke bag, but seeing a great price makes me think I need to grab it when I see it.

I keep wondering about the good prices. I hope the company is okay.

I remember when. JCrew was struggling in I think was about March 2020. The Chateau parka was usually $375.00 and went on sale for $25.99 and free shipping. Of course, I purchased three.

You are corrrect, LJ. My Piper in Pebble leather just arrived. Perfect for casual wear and terrible Ohio weather. I wanted a crossbody, but too long and will carry as a shoulder bag. I don't care for the three piece strap on me.

I just purchased the coat from Germany. I needed an olive jacket.

And the bag was only $95.00. Another Dooney winner.

I love your analogy of calling it a sport. Now I can say I participate in sports.

I bought a Blush Pebble Grain Drawstring bag in May for $129 and this is the first time I'm seeing it so low again. ($119 now.) I kept watching because I wanted to buy one in red, but the price was never right. Now I don't want it because I just bought a satchel.

$375 parka for $25.99!!! You were smart to buy three! :ghi5:

Glad Piper is perfect for you! I don't like the three piece strap either. It's too long as a crossbody and just a little too short as a shoulder bag. I was trying to use it as a shoulder strap on my suede bag but it became too frustrating so I switched to my web strap from my Toscana satchel.

The stap is the weak part for me. I'm short (5'1") so it works for me as a shoulder bag.

I thought about a bag I purchased about 30 years ago that cost $95. It was another brand before I discovered Dooney. The lining was torn the first year. I'm careful with my belongings, but when I think I spent $95.00 all these years later, it is a reminder why I'm a loyal D&B customer.

Yes, strange strap, but I like the rest. Also, was pleased the zipper was black. The picture showed red on the black/black. I was looking for all black. It was a nice surprise.

I've been bad when it comes to leather when I'm supposed to be on a no buy. I purchased five pairs of Portolano leather gloves. Fingers crossed the colors/shades look in harmony with my D&B bags.

At least we get our heart rates up with making an exciting purchase.

I love the blush! I need to look and see if they have a pebble wallet in blush.
