I'm still shopping! Every day I look at the sales.

Can you offer any more feedback on the Plumes Collection? My purchases tend to be leather and solid. None of my bags are fabric or pattern, except the two cosmetic bags that came today. One is coated cotton and the other is woven fabric.

The Plumes tote, coated cotton is11.5"L x 10"H x 5.25"D and is available in 3 colors. The blue is sold out. I am drawn to the black. The orig. price is $338.00 and with coupon is $87.20. This is 74.2% off and free shipping.

I was looking for a cosmetic case after seeing one on PF. It may have been yours. As always, I am deal shopping and this may be the best way to get this pattern.

My clothing wardrobe tends to be solid colors and those quiet basics. Thanks!
G: I love the Plumes collection. I have the black in the drawstring and the blue
also in the drawstring. I also have the brown in the tote. I think the Black is my
favorite for it's colors and also black trim. But the Blue is also stunning.
As for style, I like the tote. It's an easy and light carry with a zip top.
Not too big, but a good size for a handbag.

I'm struggling with myself about buying the tote in black. Only reason not to
is I already have the black in the drawstring, and with 3 plumes bags in my
collection, I don't need another one.

Coated cotton is not like leather. But the patterns and colors are vibrant
and I enjoy styling them with outfits. I don't consider patterns to be neutral...
to me they are outfit focal points. But the plumes is easy to style since it
has so many colors and can work with so many outfits. So why do I want
another black one.... because I love it!

Thank you! I don't usually like patterns, but I love the Plumes pattern. One bag with a pattern might be fun to reach for at times. A bit of a pop when wearing basics.

Someone make me stop! This Dooney shopping this last week is crazy.

As some of you have noticed, I like to look at the numbers. I averaged my purchases and they came out to 66% off. How do you argue with that?

You did really well on your purchases. The amount of the discount helps us
justify our purchases. Too bad the list prices keep creeping up so we need
bigger and bigger discounts to feel we really got a great deal.

I spent a 'few minutes' over on ILD on ebay. The Plumes tote was the
only item I wanted that was really a great price because it was the
only thing I looked at where the 20% coupon applied.

I'm trying not to buy that tote. I already have that print in multiple bags,
in different colors. That's bad enough. I don't need the same color in
multiple styles in the same print. But the sale is like a siren call....
buy me, buy me, buy me.

I hope you enjoy the Plumes tote.

Dec 4, Tuesday morning
So, I was just checking to see what was doing on ILD and Dooney.
My first reaction was that prices were up a little on many of the bags,
not all. OK, I got really great deals. I'm done.

And then, I checked some of the Florentine handbags....
The Flo Barrel satchel is priced at $149. Of course, I ordered
another one in a different color. Savings after rakuten discounts
and even sending the other one back will be at least $25.
I don't know if I'll keep both of them or return the more expensive one.
But the price difference was too much to just ignore.
And I don't know if there will be a quality difference between the
bag from Dooney main site and ILD. My experience says probably
not, but individual bags will always be different no matter where
they are purchased.

And I thought I got a great deal last night when I ordered the first
one! I know we can't always get the lowest price. And since we don't
know if the prices will go up or down, by how much, and when, we
just have to make the best decision at the time. The only thing for sure
is that the sale prices are temporary. Dooney main site does not price
match to ILD prices.

There are also a few other Flo bags at good prices just to tempt us.

I don't know if this is good news or bad news. I thought I
was done. My credit card says it's time to rest.
Happy shopping.

Yes, my credit card is exhausted! November to the first days of December were a bit much in terms of shopping.

I spotted two new watches my husband purchased for himself and it made me feel much better.

Balance in a relationship is a good thing! I used to collect watches. The downside
is they need regular maintenance, unlike handbags. Of course, handbags do take
up a lot more room. 😁 Both can be expensive toys.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the Sorrento Satchel in the Brick color that's currently on ILD for $149 (I really, really want the Florentine Satchel in Ivy but cannot justify $319). Does anyone have this color? It's hard to tell the exact color on the website as it looks similar to the taupe and brown colors. I believe the color brick is a reddish brown. Thanks!

I thought my buying spree was over, but the good sale prices are very tempting.

So far, four handbags and three cosmetic cases purchased since sales started in November. I could be wrong, but the sales seem better than ever.

I could have added more cosmetic cases because ILD has about eight on sale with promo code MERRY and they are $29.40, but I took them out of my cart

I purchased my fifth bag this sale. The old standby Florentine satchel 13" long in Ivy. Was $538.00 on sale for $137.40. I had this style and carried it often. I qualified for free shipping. I checked eBay ILD and it was more. I purchased from ILD. Prices varied based on color.

I admit, the Ivy in florentine pics many of you posted, made me go for this color. I only have an Alto bag in olive and realized I needed another green.

Thanks to all for posting pics. It is really helpful. Sending my best to all!

G: I bought the Ivy Florentine satchel this morning also. I really like the Ivy color,
it's very wearable (lest I say neutral). And for the price, it was an easy decision.
I have other Dooney Ivy handbags, in other leathers, but none in Florentine or in
this satchel style.

I bought the Florentine satchel too in Ivy and Fuchsia from D&B and in Bourdeaux from ILD. They should all be delivered this week. This is the most I've purchased at one time, but the sales were too good to pass up. I'm also tempted by the Ginger one that D&B offers but I figure I did enough financial damage, LOL.

The sales seem really good this year. I noticed a posting stating they had Blackfriday deals back in October. I wonder what I missed because I didn't start sale shopping until mid-November.

I get it! I thought I would only buy a couple of bags, but I purchased five handbags and three cosmetic cases. I tend to be obsessive and calculated all the discounts. The Alto bag was 56% off and everything else was -70% to -79% off. The prices made it hard to say no.

I'm on the hunt for a bordeaux florentine, but can't decide on a style. The bag is a want and not a need, but my only bordeaux bag is an Alto and I would like the color in florentine.

Enjoy your bags! It sounds like you made wonderful xhoices.

I was going to suggest you heck out the Florentine 30 satchel in Bordeaux or the Florentine Geena. Both are mid sized handbags,
minimal hardware, so it has the understated look of an Alto design, but in
softer Florentine leather. But I just checked and the Bordeaux is no longer listed.

I did see Bordeaux in the Florentine satchel, sale code MERRY, for about $220.
It has the belting details and tassels, etc. It's a soft slouchy design, nothing like
Alto. My collection includes both Alto and Florentine, many of which are quite
different in look and structure. Sometimes the understated elegance of the Alto
appeals to me. Other times I enjoy the softer, slouchy Florentine designs with
tassels and belting. But i never, ever, ever add bag charms to my handbags.

The florentine satchel in bordeaux is on my watch list. After so many good deals I'm starting to feel very cheap. I double checked, the most I spent on a bag this sale, is the Alto Callista (?). The smaller one $650.00 on sale for $273.00 (58% off).

I would grab the florentine baguette in bordeaux, if one ended up back in stock for the $71.00 and $85.00 I paid for my navy and chestnut.

I've been very price conscious, and item picky, because I went on a spending spree with a trench coat, wool/cashmere coat, scarves and a sweater from England, vests/gilets from Ireland and other stuff I have forgotten to list. Plus, the extra shipping costs.

I started with buying my nice Dooney bags and decided I need to complete the whole look. I just need to stop eating cookies or the only thing that will fit are the accessories.

😁😁 I understand completely. Maybe that's why I love handbags and jewelry and silk scarfs, so much.... they always fit perfectly.
I have an apartment filled with clothing that is either too small
because I bought it during the 15 minutes it fit, or too large because I temporarily
lost some weight. Of course the fact that no 2 garments, regardless of manufacturer
or sized marked fit the same.

I'm on a handbag diet now because I bought a zillion handbags these past 3 months.
The prices were so good I collected multiple colors when ever I saw something I liked.
The bags fit beautifully, my check book is having a temporary size issue. Bills all paid,
but no more shopping until I build up the reserve. Somehow when all the numbers get
added up and the bill arrives, it seems bigger than the great prices for the individual
purchases. It's a volume issue, just like with potato chips.... I don't want to stop after
only 1 when they are so good.

You are right to be picky about price and handbag features/function. We already have
a collection, so it's not as if we need more. I keep forgetting that when I see great bags
at really good prices.
