Wow! You are a kind, generous and thoughtful friend. It doesn't surprise me because you are generous and kind to all of us at PF.
Thank you.... but I must admit, when I gift the handbags I feel less guilty about
having spent all that money on bags I'm not using and didn't need to buy.
So, I guess I get something out of it in addition to making someone else happy.
And at least these good items don't go to waste. Anything that looks used or
shows signs of wear gets donated to charity.

Years ago, I 'collected' wide brim hats.... I'll call them 'go to church hats'.
I bought them to match all the long winter coats I bought. In those days,
a long wool coat and a hat were a good look for business dress. (Yes, I'm that old).
Anyway, after not wearing the hats for some years, as my needs changed, I
offered them to someone who lived in my building. I noticed she had similar
style hats on every Sunday when we would pass each other in the building garage
(She was on her way back from church, I was going out to the grocery store).
To be honest, she thought I was a little crazy. We didn't know each other,
other than to pass in the garage. And it took a while for her to understand
there were no strings attached and I wasn't a real nut case to be avoided.
Many of the hats still had store price tags on them. So it's not as if I was passing off
worn hats or suggesting she was in need of cast-offs. She picked out the ones she
liked. I asked her to enjoy them and to feel free to share
them with any of her friends. Maybe she checked me out with others who lived in
my condo building. 😁

Friday, May 16, ILD site
Wallets and small accessories on sale.
(I haven't price compared to ILD/Ebay).
But if you are looking for a small pouch or kiss lock, or cosmetic case, etc
you might find it at a good price.

I'm guessing individual items have seen better prices, by a few $,
if you happened to catch some fantastic coupon or sale in the past.
But these prices seem good enough to pick up something you
are looking for. Better yet, if you have been tracking an item and know
what a really good price is. Let us know too!

I received an email today from QVC. "All Dooney and Bourke on sale". The hobo sac I bought on the 7th is 20% off. I just called CS and received a refund for the difference! :ghi5:
Not sure how long the sale will last.
QVC is usually pretty good about doing a price adjustment.... if you catch the sale price and call while it's in effect and within whatever window of time they have. It used to be 30 days,
the return period, but I seem to recall they shortened it sometime back.

I'm glad you were able to get that refund of the price difference.

June 12
Florentine Twist Strap Hobo in Natural $133 on
ILD/Ebay with free shipping and 30 day return.
Other colors are more expensive.

On the regular ILD site, you pay shipping and bag is in
clearance, so final sale there.

Also check out the Florentine Convertible Tote on ILD.
It's large bag and at $169, code TREAT, it's a great buy.
I didn't see the bag on ILD/Ebay, but it was there earlier in the
week, but only in 1 color. On regular ILD site there are multiple colors.

Friday June 27. I Love Dooney
Florentine Twist Strap hobo is available
in Oyster. On sale $149.

I've never seen Flo leather in Oyster before!
Oyster a light neutral, with cool undertones
(some say lavender undertones, but I don't see that).
In any case, it's another pretty neutral for those who have enough of, or don't want/need bone, ecru, white, or natural.

Other colors are also available in the Flo Twist Strap Hobo. It's a roomy bag, shoulder or hand carry, nice details, Thick slouchy Flo leather.

Only downside I've found is that the bag will not
stand up on its own. When it's loaded with your stuff, you can balance the handle and get it to stay upright, but it takes some effort.
This is because the base is not flat, but a beautifully engineered folded envelope design.

The natural color is a few dollars less. I bought the natural a few weeks ago on ILD/Ebay because I couldn't resist the price for a full size
Florentine bag.

And yes,
🙄 I have several Dooney Twist Strap hobos that I've bought over the years. The details on the bag are a step above other hobo bags....
the twist strap, the folded base, the tapered design of the sides, the overall look,
and of course the Florentine leather.

The Twist Strap hobo is also available in pebbled leather and ostrich, I'm a collector of Dooney Florentine, pebble, and ostrich leathers. In the right color, at the right price, they have all
joined my collection over the years. But a Florentine bag will always be the first choice.
