Okay...I went back to search for the picture I saw... go to Re: Photos wearing your Bbags - PICTURES ONLY! do a search this thread, type in midafternoon. Luvpurse has some great pictures of herself modeling the midafternoon in carmel being held by her side and one over her shoulder. I hope that helps. This was a style I was considering. It's really nice :yes:.

Thanks girls - especially blessings - I checked the photos and they made me decide against it.
Far too big for my taste. I guess I will go for a first as my second B-bag. Probably in the new olive. I just saw it on another thread and I love it!

Can anyone with a mid-afternoon comment about pros and con about this size/shape? I was thinking my next purchase would be a city, but I just saw a beautiful mid-afternoon online.

Are the straps long enough to wear comfortably on your shoulder? It looks narrow--is it too narrow? I don't think I've ever seen this style IRL, so any suggestions or comments are welcome.

I actually really liked the mid-afternoon style until I tried it on at NM last week. I still like it, just not as much. It's a bit too structured and stiff-looking for my taste. I tried on the larger size, I still found it too narrow. The handles do fit over my shoulder, and I'm not a slim gal! However, I much prefer the Brief style, I'm able to fit tons more into it and it's very smushy. It's just...more Balenciaga, KWIM?

That said, if the mid-afternoon fits your lifestyle more, and you love it, go for it!

I do know what you mean! That's the hard thing about purchasing online. When you're spending this much money you really want to pick the perfect piece!

I think I'll wait until I can find one IRL before I make a decision.;) Thanks!

^^So true! There are pictures of it on diabro, but I don't think the pictures really tell the whole story. I think you're wise to wait until you can see it IRL, it really is a good amount of money to spend! Good luck with your search!

i tried to get afternoon or midafternoon in violet SGH. they said the style is to be discontinued so they are not ordering them. and then another SA said that they are not available in the new colours anyway. i just want to confirm. are they?

07 GGH Truffle Brief

Fits nicely over my shoulder and hangs well if not over full.

I like the way the top tapers in, so the bag does not stick out in front and behind of the body, which I think makes me look lumpy when trying other bigger bags.

Really large internal zip pocket.

Soft but thick leather with a really nice surface shine, particularly on the back. Feels like it will last well.

Gold GH looks great with the Truffle Colour.

However, the bag is quite heavy even when empty and looks like rather lumpy if I put too much in it.

my sister just bought a brief from NM a few hours ago and stopped by here at my house to show me. that's when i found out that the brief has 2 sizes? a small one and a large one? ive seen the large one before, and initially, that's what i thought she got until she came here and showed me this caramel smaller brief....i was going to take a pic but didnt have time since she was in a hurry. i thought i was familiar with most of the bbag styles but i guess thats not the case .....anyway, ill take a pic and post it here asap so you guys can let me know for sure which bag that is.....:smile1::smile1:
