I have a friend whose cousin was schizophrenic, was on her meds for years, then felt like she didn't need them anymore. Shortly after she went off of them she killed herself. It is my understanding that the meds make them feel "not themselves" so it's a double edged sword. You need them to function like a regular human being but taking them makes you feel crappy.

I hear that a lot too. Hopefully some day they'll have better meds.

Amanda Bynes heads to a office building with her mom Lynn on Friday (December 6) in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

The 27-year-old entertainer was released from rehab and is back home with her parents.

She was put under a 5150 hold back in July after setting a neighbor’s driveway on fire and stayed in rehab until just a few days ago.

The day before, Amanda was seen for the first time since completing rehab while walking her dog with her mom and dad Rick.

Well the law is not going to leave her alone....they found her competent to stand trial for her DUI.

That is kind of unfair. It is obvious that she was not well at the time and she has an uphill battle in front of her.
I certainly hope that they would give her a light sentence or even dismiss the charges at this point.
Which state is prosecuting? New York or California?
She looks much healthier and I hope that she is able to have a peaceful and fulfilling life.
Mental illness is no joke.
