I feel very strongly against anyone related to this speaking about it. If her behavior behind closed doors is being reported by medical staff they should be fired.

I was just going to say something similar -- how do we know that it wasn't her parents who are the "source"? I don't think its anyone on the hospital staff - I don't believe anyone would risk their job and future (not to mention possible legal problems) to leak a patients records to TMZ, especially when there's so much attention on the hospital and the patient.

Does Amanda have any brothers or sisters? If so, they could also be the source. We really don't know, but IMO, its someone close to Amanda

(another reason I don't believe its someone on the hospital staff is because to have that kind of information, they would have to have been there observing during that entire time period - or they read her file and/or Drs notes to be so specific - and again, I find either one of those scenarios highly unlikely. It sounds more like second-hand storytelling after hearing it from her Dr or someone else treating/observing her. Maybe Amanda's comments about her parents aren't so far-fetched)

I seem to recall Amanda being emancipated from her parents in her late teens at the height of her success, no? I could be wrong but if she was I doubt they would have her best interests at heart now.

I believe Amanda once posted that her parents are near/over 70 years old.

She probably came very late in life. That's just how it is sometimes.

In the end it doesn't matter how old they are. I'm interested in seeing if they really are going to do all it takes to make sure their child gets help.

Most parents do but the fact that she was emancipated could point to some issues.
They are stage parents after all.
Was she managed by the same guy who managed Britney Spears at one point, that Lufti character?
I also wonder if Amanda was not exposed to some dangerous drugs as in PCP while young and therefore seriously damaged her brain
