Troubled Amanda Bynes is to have her time at the Las Encinas Hospital extended by two weeks, E! News reports.Amanda was taken to the hospital on Friday after she arrived at The London Hotel in Los Angeles, to find both her parents and her lawyer waiting for her.
Once taken to the hospital, Amanda was reportedly put under a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours, and now it will be extended for a further 14 days.

She was committed to a psychiatric hospital on Friday night after flying in to LAX following her continuing battle with mental health issues.

The troubled former child star is currently on a 72 hour hold at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, CA.
The center's website reads: 'Las Encinas Hospital, located in Pasadena, California, is an acute psychiatric facility situated on 27 tranquil acres campus consisting of sprawling lawns, shade trees, plants and lush gardens.
'Our highly structured and comprehensive programs provide the very best in mental health care.'
The emergency intervention came after her mental health began to deteriorate while in New York when she publicly accused her father Rick of child abuse.
Before she was committed, the 28-year-old actress removed the allegations she made against her father on Twitter.

'In a rare moment of clarity before Amanda became a patient at the mental health facility in Pasadena, she actually deleted the posts on Twitter accusing her father of sexually abusing her,' Radar's source added.

The source with People claims: 'When she is in one of these states, her anger and frustration is directed towards her father.'
Meanwhile, on Saturday her parents were seen arriving at the hospital to visit their disturbed daughter.
She is being held under section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code which enables mentally ill people who are classified as a danger to themselves or others be taken in against their will.
But according to reports by Radar on Sunday, Amanda Bynes is struggling to accept the help she desperately needs.

A source told the website: 'Amanda is having a tough time adjusting to being in treatment again.'
'However, the facility she is in is truly first class and it will be a calming environment to deal with her issues out of the spotlight,' the source added.
It appears that Amanda's return to LA and ultimate psychiatric hold was orchestrated by her parents, their attorney Tamar Arminak, and Britney Spears' controversial ex-manager Sam Lufti.

She posted: 'I am getting married and my boyfriend and I are going to be on the cover (sic) People magazine.'
But TMZ said the 19-year-old, who acknowledges meeting Amanda during her previous stint in a treatment center, had never dated her and had not spoken with her in months.
In a brief and rambling interview with In Touch magazine last week, Amanda said: 'I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f*** them, but I can now say I’m engaged.
'I want to be married and I want to be away from people.'

I don't understad. Was she being a danger to herself? I know she accused her dad of all sorts but did she set something on fire again? Are they allowed to hold her against her will. I heard they can only detain you if you are a danger to yourself, so what happened?
They probably did an assessment before going the full 5150. Was she not taking her meds? Maybe that's part of her conditions?
She clearly does not look well and doesn't look like she's taking care of herself. The Twitter ramblings are no doubt just the tip of the iceberg.

Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code which authorizes a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person suspected to have a mental disorder that makes him or her a danger to themselves, a danger to others, and/or gravely disabled.
She's clearly exhibited herself to be a danger to herself. No?

she was not taking her meds as her mother declared in April that she took her off them due to her not having a mental illness but it being all weed's fault.

The thing is why does she keep picking on her dad? The last time she was ill like this she attacked her dad accusing him of all sorts of things. Are they 100% sure the dad is clear of all accusations? I know that Amanda is ill but it's weird that she always goes after the dad.

Amanda Bynes is headed for another conservatorship, but we're told it almost certainly will not be at the hands of her parents. Rather, we've learned Amanda's doctors are planning to get the type of conservatorship that can keep her confined and medicated for up to 1 year.
Sources familiar with Amanda's treatment tell TMZ ... the plan is to get an LPS Hold -- something a judge will grant at the behest of doctors but only if the patient is "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism."
The LPS Hold allows doctors to confine Amanda -- at either the hospital or another secure facility -- and administer meds against her will.
The LPS Hold is far more stringent than what her parents could get. The parents could not legally force meds on Amanda nor could they effectively restrain her. We're told Amanda literally hates her parents now after they tricked her into coming to the mental hospital.
You may recall ... doctors got an LPS Hold on Amanda a little more than a year ago after she went off the rails ... ending with lighting a driveway on fire and dousing her dog with gasoline. That LPS Hold expired last month.
Our sources say the doctors will likely ask a judge for a new LPS Hold within a week ... after Amanda is fully diagnosed.

It could be that her dad is more opinionated and vocal towards her and she doesn't want to hear what he has to say.
