Haha glad to see I am not the only ocd person on this thread
Count me in dear, you didn’t blow it, in fact you did the right thing and per your description, the bag has some sort of signs of usage and scratch on the hw. Trust me on this.... Box and Tadelakt aren’t for everyone , you will get another fabulous offer in a “lower” maintenance leather like Evercolor or Epsom soon, as long as you are continuing your shopping experience with your SA. Good luck.

With H, what is meant to be yours will be.

I've gotten an offer because the other client it was going to get offered to was stuck in a different country when the bag came in, and I've missed an offer because I was on a flight and landed to find 10 missed calls from my SA and the bag was already gone. You will find people who turned down bags that didn't match their wishlist in even just one single detail and never looked back, and you will find people who turned down a bag and years later still remember it as the one that got away. You will find people who got their perfect offer after being patient and staying strong and unwavering for their exact requirements, and you will find people who took a risk and absolutely fell in love with a bag they didn't know they wanted.

No use beating yourself up. What's done is done. This bag wasn't meant to be yours.

There will be MANY more to come. It will get easier too. The first one is always hard, just like people tend to remember their first love... ;)

Don't fret - it will be ok. And we will all be here ready to share your happiness & excitement when the one that's meant to be yours comes and I'm sure it won't be too long!!

+.. What is done is done... Another bag will likely come your way & there has been much advice given to YOU
on this forum, so lessons to be learned as well..
And be patient.. likely the next big shipment for bags could be a bit of time..
I just reached out to my SA as I am looking for something specific.
He mentioned that they expected a big delivery for the month of December which arrived & the next big
shipment is not scheduled to be received til perhaps March/April & this is my SA on Madison Ave

Thought I’d bump this up. I got a a B30 etoupe in tadelakt, which was a push offer. Not sure If I want to keep her. Is this box leather worth keeping? Is this a rare item that I should keep or store credit it for a typical leather like Togo or Clemence? How is your Kelly holding up with the scratches?
Late to this but what exactly is a push offer? I was recently offer Constance 18 in etoupe tadelakt but it had scratches on hw I declined

Yes thank you I read it. Do you think this may have been a push offer? The box was already opened and the bag clasp was open and had scratches at first I thought maybe a return but now thinking maybe a push offer what do you think?
I think you misunderstand the term push offer. A push offer is a store level lingo meaning an item that arrives to the store without the store manager specifically ordering it. ie it is “pushed” from Paris rather than “pulled” by an order at podium. That’s it, it has nothing to do with the clients. It is typically reserved for the rarest pieces that are rare enough that H cannot guarantee the store managers that there will be enough supply of and therefore H doesn't allow the managers to specifically request them.

Ok thank you for clarifying. So my first assumption is probably correct. The bag was a return.

This photo looks like that the plastic is still on the hardware - you sure that scratch is on the hardware and not the plastic?

H does NOT accept returns for KBC bags generally speaking (there can be exceptions of course). I’d say unless you are certain the scratch is on the hardware itself and not the plastic, then there is a bigger chance that it was opened by SA to inspect / take photos etc or it was offered to someone else and not packed completely back before hand.

I am replying here because I saw your comment in the other member’s thread by the way. But I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep detailing the other member’s thread which should be about HER offer. I hope you understand :flowers:

The stickers are still intact...look at the corners. I think sometimes they wear gloves, sometimes they don’t. It’s not an absolute. I don’t think it was a return.,.it may have been shown to someone else or maybe your sa took it out to look at before showing you since she knew you were coming to see the bag. Hermes has extremely high standards and wouldn’t try to sell a used bag with no protective stickers. I’m not trying to offend you but you did say you regret not accepting so perhaps you were looking for something to make you feel better about a missed opportunity/regret? Not good to trash the brand though especially when it’s not accurate info.

I understand what you are saying. Although I do regret it in the end it’s only a bag. I thought way before I wrote anything there was a scratch on the hw. And bc the clasp was open I had concerns. There could be a bunch of possibilities I am just chronicling my experience I was hoping someone would do exactly what you are so I become more aware for next time. Thank you

I am Absolutely NOT
TRASHING THE BRAND !! And if it comes off that way IT IS NOT MY INTENT.I ❤️Hermès!L

A little bit of zoom and circling where you can see the plastic. Hope that helps to ease your mind a little and have confidence that it’s just the sticker and not doubt your SA...when that starts you need to think about finding a different one...

Yes like you said it’s just a bag! And I’m sure you will get more fabulous offers!!
