I plan on getting a few c18 in different colors that’s why although this isn’t exactly my perfect bag I am considering it bc it’s such a perfect color. And WHERE DO YOU LIVE THAT THERE IS ALOT IF C18s??? I will go there ! Yes I baby my lambskin and I do think scratches will bother me but it seems this leather will be easily refurbished. It may end up looking “worn” but in a good way. The leather itself will hold the bag shape well and that is another positive aspect. So there are pros and cons. That’s why I really haven’t fully made up my mind. Any leather bag will get nicked and scratched and shouldn’t be out in the rain so I need to resolve this factor. But I am really valuing everyone opinions and feed back and advice . It is extremely helpful and it’s great because you ladies really do know what you are talking about !I don't think a C18 with gold hardware is difficult to get. At my home store I want a C24 yet they seem to have a higher volume of C18's mainly because the demand for smaller bags is still high. If you are set on a colour and hardware then don't settle. There are times when I am specific and times when I'm open minded with Hermes. I have purchased things that were off from my wishlist and have been happy, and other times when I have not been happy....luckily more often than not I have been extremely happy. Etoupe with white stitching looks great with PHW. I have a Gold togo Kelly with PHW and I prefer it because of the white stitching, whereas I see an overwhelming preference to gold/GHW on the H forum. I always think I want GHW, and then when I get PHW I am so happy I did - it's an understated look and I can get away with it in the daytime without looking over the top- I happen to live in a very casual city so I like to just blend into the crowd and I don't like attention drawn on me.
I don't own anything that is Tadelakt leather but I do own Chanel lambskin. If you baby your Chanel lambskin, then you will feel ovewhelmed with the scratches on any smooth leather. However, keep in mind that when Epsom scratches, it can't be rubbed out. It's just a superficial scratch on embossed leather. The Tadelakt can be repaired more easily. This is a bonus for Tadelakt in my opinion.
Don't worry about not being offered another bag, you will get another bag. I think you should likely walk away from this one and consider it a learning experience. Your dream C will come along sooner than you think

Well, I didn't say there were a lot of C18's at my home store, but that there were a higher volume of C18's (in comparison to C24's which is my preferred size).
Your SA sounds like she is going to try to make you happy. Unfortunately H requires a lot of patience. Best of luck!
My dear if you are planning on a few c18s I would seriously consider this offer. For c18s, the leather options are heritage/epsom/evercolor/swift. They all have pros and cons. Togo and clemence are scratch-free worry-free, but it's not available in this style.
Another thing with C18 is that the buckle is also prone to scratches. But as a tiny bag if you are careful with it it's manageable. And the buckle can be replaced in spa later if needed.
I have a gorgeous black box C18 and it has couple very faint “lines” on the back (and around the buckle) as I carry it crossbody so the minor “scratches” were the result of by rubbing it against my cloth (even tho I am very careful with it). Hence, I turned down and walked away from a gorgeous blue electric Tadelakt C18 because I can only handle one precious bag

Awwww. I don’t think you blew it. The bag you are can’t resist walking away from will find you and at that point, you won’t even care what TPF’ers say, you will just be glad you scored it. What you are feeling right now is almost comparable to what some of us have felt In the dating world. You meet a guy, you are not feeling him at all. You see other girls eye him, all of a sudden you want him but now he is not available and you feel he is the one that got away. Time passes and you became so indifferent about him cos you have now met the one you are undoubtedly head over heels in love with (sorry I have the worst analogies

Your SA gave you first right of refusal for this bag. Your indecisiveness was not to your advantage,
unfortunately.
If your SA should offer you your bag of your dreams, take your time in making the decision,
The C bag is a desirable bag & lots of clients have it on their wish list.
Your chance will come around again & learn from this.. Good luck on finding your C bag!!

I recently had the chance to check out an etoupe + phw mini lindy on h.com and I didn´t press the final button cause I actually don´t really like etoupe or phw.. one minute later the bag was sold.
And I was kicking myself for the next days cause it´s super hard to get in any colour and I imagined how it could have worked for me anyway.. but in the end if we don´t love something right away, it won´t become a favourite and will most probably be rehomed, so better wait for the love at first sight bag..these are too expensive for anything else..

Believe it or not I don’t think I had FIRST right of refusal. I think someone refused it or maybe even returned it before me. When she took bag out of the dust bag the bag lock was already OPENED and had a Scratch on the hw! Plus there was no covering on the front of the bag. I thought that was a little strange

Fast forward: Now, five, actually six B/K’s later and I’m thoroughly still in love with my H B/K’s in a major way [emoji813]️

I've gotten an offer because the other client it was going to get offered to was stuck in a different country when the bag came in, and I've missed an offer because I was on a flight and landed to find 10 missed calls from my SA and the bag was already gone. You will find people who turned down bags that didn't match their wishlist in even just one single detail and never looked back, and you will find people who turned down a bag and years later still remember it as the one that got away. You will find people who got their perfect offer after being patient and staying strong and unwavering for their exact requirements, and you will find people who took a risk and absolutely fell in love with a bag they didn't know they wanted.
No use beating yourself up. What's done is done. This bag wasn't meant to be yours.
There will be MANY more to come. It will get easier too. The first one is always hard, just like people tend to remember their first love...
Don't fret - it will be ok. And we will all be here ready to share your happiness & excitement when the one that's meant to be yours comes and I'm sure it won't be too long!!
