I do don't bear to use my bags as they are my babies plus they costs quite a bomb. But if i dont use it, in e first place why shld i buy right? Is a very dilemma circumstance. Kekekek.

I tried to be very careful whenever I used it. Is abit tiring though =XXX And i really being overprotective if non-chinese accidentally touches it or wad =xXX

Btw does any bag lovers know where is good to sell off very good conditioned of branded bags (like LV, Chanel, Prada)? I wanted to sell several as I only used twice or thrice the max..

Someone told me you can sell items on bag, borrow, and steal now. Idk how that would work

I think it depends. I don't think I baby all my bags, but some I'm extra careful with. I think I'm most careful with delicate leathers like on my RMs. Other bags I think look better with a broken in, well worn look. I think it adds character to the bag.

No. As a matter of fact, yesterday I went out carrying my new to me Prada washed leather bag. The weather forecast was chance of showers and I got caught in a downpour w/o umbrella. My bag (and me and my hair) got soaked but thankfully bag was the kind of leather that could withstand getting wet. I stuffed it and heated it up a bit when I got home just to make sure.

i always use my bags. Operative word: Use.
What's the sense of paying $$$$ if they're going to sit in your closet, wasting space and money?

Bags are just a means of transporting our daily essentials around. I'm a longstanding tpf'er and i love both high-end and no-name brands but in the grand scheme of things, they'll burn away when we die.

Life is too short - use and enjoy!
+1

To add to the reply that I don't baby my bags, I think I should start being a little more careful. Or at least spray some Apple guard if I don't intend to baby them. I had to send my Anya Hindmarch for recoloring as I had some stains that wouldn't come out. :( It is pricey to not be careful at all.

I usually use my Stams and Chanel/LV bags on "special" days but I don't have many of those types of days so sometimes feel like I'm saving them and not putting my "personal imprint" on them, i.e. breaking them in to the point where people know their my bags.

For instance, I am going to the corner drugstore this morning. I was going to take my LV but feel it's better suited for mall trip, so I settled on a Coach satchel. Logically, I could take my LV but it almost seems over the top... Catch-22 and it's only because I haven't used it so much it's become a part of me (the LV)... does this make sense?

My aunt was giving me a hard time about buying designer bags and not using them... but my response to her was, if it makes me happy, it makes me happy. What's wrong with that? (i.e. what business is it of yours how I get to use them?)

I'm the same. I brought this lovely Chanel Timeless flap in lizard but never used it. Also a great Louis Vuitton rossmore alligator clutch in Paris but NEVER use it. The list goes on. I'm using my LV speedy and neverfull almost everyday because they're not so "expensive"... o.O

I realized I was doing this with any bag I purchased new. I wouldn't use it for fear of getting its first scratch, or first water mark, or patina, or whatever. I stopped buying new, and bought preloved in good condition. I use these bags all the time, because they already have "character" built in when I receive them.

What a great way to solve the problem!

That's me, at least 40 high end bags most of which have been used once or twice and sometimes never just stored and admired from time to time. I have at least 25 of those purses that have never seen daylight, like My LV's Artsy Infini Empriente, Stressa, Tivoli, Galleria Azur, Speedy Sprouse roses, Alma Vernis amarante, Tulum, Celine Micro, Chloe Marcie, Gucci Pelham and Guccissima Sukey, Chanel GST and on and on. My problem is that it will rain or snow or it will be knicked or scratched. My admiration is on having them and hoarding them and keeping them pristine, they are all stored in dust bags and have a space resting in the closet and they are not squished. I even keep the bags stuffed to keep the shape and for some they lay flat for shap reasons. Any one else or am I crazy.

I hate to admit it but I am the same until last year, I hated bringing out my bags but absolutely adored them in private. I woke up and decided to wear and enjoy them! I paid a lot of money for them and I should at least enjoy them. I bought it for that reason and not keep it as an investment piece because that is just wrong! Having said that, I have not worn all my Chanels though! Hehehehehehe!

Absolutely not; I can't wait to bust the baby outside! I think the way to prevent having unused bags, is to buy only ones that are actually practical for your lifestyle. And once some of them wear out, you can replace them with others, thereby having a healthy number of bags, and ample enjoyment out of them.
