Is the strap that you're using for your pochette same color (black?)or you're using different color?
Once I thought to save some money and tried my alma griotte with vachetta strap from my speedy b. It didn't really look good...Or maybe I'm wrong because there is a vernis brea that have vachetta on it + vachetta strap. I've tried it cross body and as a shoulder bag...I would not say it looks cool ( but maybe because of mismatching strap) , but for convenience I'd love to have it...

Both black with silver hardware.

The strap is kind of long as a shoulder strap, especially if you are not very tall. It would be nice if they sold a shorter option. I've been using my optional strap and I'm 5'4". I would prefer a shorter strap and tried to order one but after months still haven't heard back from LV.

Same issue, having a strap is convienient but I'm 5'0 and the epi strap hits me too long. My SA told me they can't add extra holes but to take it a cobbler so they could add some. I'm rather nervous having just anyone punch extra holes into a $$$ strap so I'm thinking of buying a leather puncher to do it myself.

I think with extra holes the excess strap length would extend to the clip of beyond? I tried putting my (red) Epi Brea strap on the (noir) Alma and I loved the length. But a red strap on a black bag doesn't cut it.

I have the Alma PM with a strap. Althoug I mainly carry it handheld I always have the strap attatched. I kind of like the look of the Alma with the strap (makes it more edgy) and at the same time practical if I need to be handsfree. And if I want the more ladylike version for dressed up occasions I take it off. Definitely recommend the strap ;)

For some reason I love straps just having on bags...on speedies, almas and other. I actually love handheld bags, but sometimes there is a need for using a strap...just simply put on your shoulder while looking at the store for something and etc.
I agree with you about the strap being convenient in certain circumstances and I like the look of the strap hanging from certain bags as well, but I think the Alma PM, in Vernis particularly, looks best without the strap. On the Alma BB the strap is chic, but on the PM it detracts a little from the overall aesthetic.

I'm contemplating and Epi PM and I'd get the strap, but I don't think Epi is quite as dressy as Vernis, and even with the Epi, my preference is handheld without the strap attached.

I love your Alma. Is this Indigo?

I just got a new shorter strap for my Alma. It's an Epi Brea replacement strap. Shoulder length, not crossbody. Unfortunately the bag is home in New England and the strap is with me in Florida.
