Alma PM with strap?

I don't have one, but I am potentially getting an Epi Alma PM and I would definitely get the strap, because I need the hands-free option because of my kids. I think I would carry the strap inside the bag when I am by myself and then attach it when I am with my kids. I think it looks just fine with it, and since they actually make it with the additional metal piece for the strap, I think that means it is accepted.

+1

I am right there with LuxMommy! Epi Alma PM is on my wish list, with strap, for the exact same reasons!!! I am expecting at the moment and knowing myself I would want a hands free option! lol Even all these years without children I still wish my hand held bags had optional straps! You could always get the strap and if you found that you just never use it you could sell it!

I love the Alma with a strap in the BB and PM, not sure about the bigger Almas. I always have the strap hanging on the bag even though I usually carry it handheld. Just in case I need to sling it over my shoulder. I am travelling without that bag so this is the only picture I have.

Very chic and classy! And functional.

I have an epi alma pm with a strap and I love it. I agree that the alma looks better hand held but that is not alway practical :smile1: Think of washing your hands in a public restroom! I mostly carry hand held and the strap dangling looks good in my opinion. Also I think it looks much better over the shoulder than crossbody. Anyway if you look on page 305 in the Alma clubhouse you will find my photo. I love mine!

This is beautiful, and much more user- friendly. Just not sure the strap would complement a Vernis Alma the same way it functions with Canvas or Epi Versions. Vernis to me, is just " dressy" and looks so pretty hand carried.

Thank you!
I agree with you about fancier bags looking dressier hand held. The straps do interfere with the line of one's dress or suit, and models wear them by the hand, but as a practical matter, I'm useless for more than 10 minutes unless my hands are free.

I see, well, i thought it could be nice to have a strap and put the bag on shoulder when paying for food and have to carry a tray, or when shopping...just like an example.so not using all the time, just when there is a need to do something ASAP

I have a strap for my epi Alma PM, and that's exactly why. Of course it looks better hand or elbow carried, but I have things to do that occasionally require two hands. I don't have room in my collection for an every day bag that can't ever be hands free when the occasion calls for it. I'm 5' 9", and I have a 30" unbranded strap. This makes the bag hang roughly at about elbow height for me, so I feel this isn't completely destroying the intended look of this bag, and even if it is, it's only for a short time. Since the strap is short, I just let it hang from the bag when I don't need it.

I'll see if I can get a pic of it some time this evening.

Not sure how alma vernis looks with a strap as it is a dressy bag, but i bought an alma epi pm without the strap as it was not in stock and really regret it. I hardly used the bag first 6 months I got it as it was not convenient for my lifestyle to carry a hand carry only bag. I say get the strap

Here's my epi Alma PM with a 30" strap. First pic is a front view of how I like to position removeable shoulder/ crossbody straps on hand carry bags, second pic is a back view. Third pic is the bag on my shoulder. Please excuse my sloppy clothes; I was relaxing at home watching American football.
